Silly question, I know...

Since Cass' perk is supposed to work when you (or she) drinks whiskey, I was wondering why she never actually drinks any?

When I tell her to "wait here" she just stands there, never moving or doing anything. I gave her whiskey, it is still in her pack. She doesn't seem to drink any when my character does, so... has anyone ever actually seen her drink whiskey while she was a companion?

Same here. Gave her whiskey several times and she never drank it.

I wish when whiskey was placed in her inventory that she had an idle 'drink' animation like Jericho did with cigarettes.

If you tell her to wait at the 38 and then go watch her, she'll eat and drink if you have stuff stored there. Dump a lot of whiskey bottles on the floor and watch her (or anyone else) be an alcoholic. ...but yeah, there's nothing specific for her in that regard that I know of.

If you're on PC http://newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34955 that lets you have companions do idle things (like wall lean, smoke, pushups, drink, all of that) anywhere there are idle markers in the game. Fun stuff.

I believe her Perk is such that you can drink the Whiskey and not get any of the negative effects only the positive ones. So, take her to a bar and start drinking.

Downloaded that one myself, awesome in casinos haha they blend in really well

She does every time you turn your back on her....

Anyway Whiskey rose is a perk for you personally. When you drink liek it has been said you only get the positive effects and a bonus DT.

Thanks for the replies, I appreciate it. Thought she was broken on my PC since she never does anything, ever.. just stands there.

I have a couple of companions mods downloaded.. the sandbox mode one for example, set home marker, etc. But Cass is the one companion who never has any of the mod's conversation choices when you speak with her.

Anyway, I think her conversation choices work much differently than other NPC companions.

Go ahead, Cass.. just pretend to be a statue.. that's why I'm "leanin' in all of a sudden" Haha

I noticed that too, she doesn't have the "wait and relax" conversation option like the others with the sandbox mode mod. The best you can do is dismiss her to the lucky 38 and see her sandbox there.

Oh? Must be a bug/conflict with the most current version of that mod then....she idles fine for me, but I'm still using an older version of it. Didn't like the newer versions - or rather, I'm sure I'd like it but it gave me issues for some reason.

I find empty whiskey bottles in her inventory pretty often, and I never gave her any. Not sure what mechanics are controlling it. I'll have to look into it.

Edit: Ok I see where it's coming from. Her GECK inventory has 1 empty whiskey bottle, and a mod I'm using lets me resurrect her, so every time she is resurrected she gets another one.
