I really hope im not alone. I hope that there will be other console players online to play multiplayer. I want more than anything to have Crysis 2 become popular on all platforms and for it to be successful. I want it to be a hit.

I don't think you'll have any trouble finding other peeps faces to shoot come March :D

We're getting a little off-topic here though :P

Out of curiosity, has anyone here upgraded from an old Xbox360 to one of the new black ones? Curious as to whether there's any performance increase in the 250GB HDD over the 20GB one i've got :3

I've read reviews about the new Xbox kinetic, some time ago.
Suppose to be twice the power of an 360 elite and capable of truly competing against Ps3.

I won't know about that...

When it comes to older vs newer consoles, there isn't really performance increases in terms of processing power, gaming performance, graphics, etc.

What really is happening is that manufacturers (Sony and Microsoft) continues to improve their console's hardware by using more efficient components, better cooling, improved circuit layouts, etc (even if it is just minor improvements). This result in the newer consoles that tend to be more energy efficient, running cooler & quieter, last longer, maybe weigh a bit lesser, maybe even some cosmetic changes, etc.

The only "performance gain" I've heard about is that a game may load a little bit faster on a newer console compared to the loading times on that of an older console, but I have yet to see that for myself. :P

Probably not any incremential performance increase basing it off my old 60GB PS3 HDD. I'm pretty sure that 7200RPM was still standard for HDD's back in 2005 like it still is today, but I am not sure about that.

Not for 2.5" drives, it wasn't. 5400rpm was (still is for most OEM laptops, etc) the standard for most mechanical drives of that size.

Found this article though: http://www.gamepro.com/article/features/138288/7200rpm-vs-5400rpm-does-ps3-hard-drive-speed-matter/

Appears as though the 250GB drive in the 360 is a 7200rpm unit though, so, nice :)

I recently got the Xbox 360 Slim, but it was the 4GB model, im not sure whether there really is a performance increase, just more quieter and efficient. As for HDD's, I upgraded my PS3's HDD back in 2008, from 60GB @5400RPM to 320GB @7200RPM. Still, I didnt really notice a significant performance jump anyway :/
