According to my perfectly fine eyes when I compare my PS3 version of Crysis 2 to the my brother's 360 version.

We both agree that it looks better on the PS3. also according to this comparison. by Digitalfoundry.

You can clearly see that the PS3 version looks the best.

But why is IGN saying otherwise? could it be they're still playing the demo instead of the retail version?

IGN is not on anyone's payroll if they say the XBOX version is better it it. You'll see it soon enough when the degital foundry gets the anolysis out.
Lens of truth screenshots are often not that reliable. If you look at page 3, multiplayer pictures, you can clearly see the lower resolution of the PS3 version. Framerate issues can't be seen on a picture. 85% of multiplatform games are better on XBOX don't get your hopes up, this shouldn't be different

Only eighty five percent? I think the only multiplatform game I've seen that the PS3 had the advantage in is Marvel VS Capcom 3. Even then it was just a minor thing. Hardly anything like a framerate difference.

I dont know if its as much to do with being on MS payroll as it is to do with IGN being a total 360 fanboy site. For crying out loud they actually said the 360 was the best platform of 2010. Didn′t it get like 2 exclusive titles or something?

Lol? Who cares what it looks like on these limited hardwares, without them the game would fully use DX11 and it would look like a virtual reality on PC

What an idiot, yo don't be a fan boy, the truth is that 360 runs better and plays better, i own the ps3 version and me and my my friend compare the too games side by side, 360 looks better, anyway the ps3 is still a good game, lets hope they fix the game soon.

Well ps3 games are held at a higher standard, take what you want from that but it is true. Call of duty gets a free pass but you see the problems with it later on the year. The exclusives get nit picked for every little thing, it's like the game was supposed to be a woman that can do everything without a mistake.

why cant people calm down about this console war ****. Its true that id rather have an xbox but thats just because its slightly more focused on gaming. They are both fantastic systems and will have great versions of crysis 2.

Yup both great, but PS3 is and will always has better graphics when a game is coded properly instead of just ported to PS3.
XBOX fanboy will have to learn to live with it.

Lens of truth have already stated Xbox has screen tearing issues ps3 has none but the v sync that stops screen tearing slightly lowers framerate but to an unnoticable degree.I however have downloaded a 720p compare capture video and cannot see any difference between the two consoles at all.

I have relied on reviews from IGN for years. I love their video reviews and usually they are really accurate/ reliable. I've heard that they are Xbox bias but never saw true proof of it..... until this release. Every other reviewer that I've seen since Tuesday has said that the PS3 version looks better. Destructoid even quoted a dev that said that it plays slightly better on the PS3. Seeing this go down this way has made me decide to never rely on IGN for anything ever again. It's a shame bc they have a lot of good talent on that site. I'm gunna miss the convenience of those video reviews.

Without getting Into fanboyism it has always been difficult to take IGN reviews seriously they've never really been indifferent in regards to their reviews..

In the past multiplatform games have been better on the Xbox but now with more recent games, such as Crysis 2 there are no real differences. Just fanboys (and fangirls) who can't stand it when the PS3 has something over the Xbox.

How is Crysis 2 not in HD on the PS3? I bet if I was to play The Xbox version on my TV I wouldn't notice the difference. IGN are a very bad source of reviews, I like gamespot reader reviews as they are done by people who have actually played the game for longer than a day.

I lost faith in IGN when they bashed Prototype for having bad draw distances ......... hmm
