A raise to the cap of the voip

Post » Sun Jun 07, 2009 11:19 am

I am currently trying to play crysis wars, and in order to use in game voip, I am turning sounds down to about 5% and maxing voip. Even then I still can barely hear anything.

Without turning sounds completely off, is there any way to increase the voip volume?

Not really. The standard VoIP in Crysis was crappy at best, if you can hear anyone that is better than most. :)

Using a private VoIP server is pretty much needed for Crysis, but you get tons better quality.

So the only alternative is to not use it. This is a bad solution.

The solution is not to use the in-game one, ts3, ventrilo and many others do it fine tho...

Yeah well, the developer coding for it is really bad. :(

I've noticed some people are having issues while others are not. Anyone not having issues here? I am curious if it is a 64 bit v 32 bit thing.

It is not really that the quality is bad, it is just overly quiet so its almost impossible to hear over the actual game.

32-bit it doesn't work well for me, not sure about 64-bit functionality for VoIP.
