ED-E and Rex

Post » Tue Jun 09, 2009 5:23 am

Various polls with various questions. Go.

And what exactly does Violetta's brain do to Rex? Just his running speed or does it increase attack speed aswell? If it is just the former, it seems pretty pointless as far as i'm concerned.

I've already upgraded ED-E with the BoS armor upgrade for the 20 DT , not sure if that was the good option. He can use Alien power cells anyway, so if I need firepower, I have it. I never got the option to upgrade ED-E with Followers technology, which svcks because I liked that upgrade more.

Not sure which secondary companion to stick with. It was Rex in the last 2 playthroughs, but maybe I should give the little robot a go?

I give Ed-e the follower upgrade. Although I didn't like how they took the sticker and licence plate off him so I put them back. I make it his job to range attack and mine to keep the critters off of him, so I didn't think he'd need the armour. It's worked out pretty well.
I gave Rex poor old Reys brains because Rex seemed happier with them. I usually help Rex then leave him at home because he gets in the way too much.

EDE, if only for his perk. Invaluable once you've used it imo.
I used FotA upgrade, even on hardcoe EDE never gets in much trouble mid-late game.

Rex I used Rey and Lupa and preferred Rey's ending...again Rex isn't easy to kill so increased damage or speed would be best, damage since most enemies come to you (certainly the more dangerous ones)

ED-E, of course, with the FotA upgrade. I love the sound of his cannon, not to mention its more than convincing firepower, reminds me of some big turrets in the Star Wars movies in these regards.
What a mean little piece of flying footlocker artillery he has become....

Ed-E. I usually get him the BoS armor upgrade and pass him the YCS/186 (it results in a very beneficial bug - I'll be sad if that one ever gets fixed).

I don't like Rex. Cybernetic dogs with exposed brains? No. I want a real dog. With brains where they belong.

My answer would be neither. I go help Rex then give him back to the King. ED-E I help sometimes, sometimes I don't.

The correct answer is ED-E !!! His perk alone is the way to go.

Lame. I wasn't given the option to use the Followers upgrade which everybody and their mother seems to love.

Sigh.

I gave ED-E the Followers of the Apocalypse upgrade because I prefer them...

As things go it seems to be the best decision.
