The Great Khans

Post » Wed Jun 10, 2009 12:44 am

Anyone else wish there was more content for the Khans? They're one of my favorite things about the game.

In a way, I wish it was the Khans and not the Legion who are fighting with the NCR over the dam. There's not much ambiguity with the Legion; they are savages led by a lunatic (Everyone agrees, right? ). If the Khans had been the big enemy, I'd side with them every time.

Anyway, any love for the Khans out there?

I don't consider them to be savages or that Caesar is a lunatic.
There is an ending where the Khans with the help of FotA creates a might empire up north.
Could be used for FO4.
Dunno which ending it was though, maybe House's or NCR's..

"There's not much ambiguity with the Legion; they are savages led by a lunatic (Everyone agrees, right? ). " Yes most definitely they are, make that led by two lunatics.

The Khans I'm undecided about, at least you can talk to them without them threatening to crucify you if you put a foot wrong. They have a pretty bad past though they used to burn villages and enslave survivors, however they at least treat their women with respect. If the Khans get a good ending with leaving it sounds to me like they turn into another marauding band of thugs. I would join them if they were a joinable faction.

Yes but
Spoiler
I Really like Papa Khan so I can't do that to him. And his advisors seem to be able to keep him from running amuk about NCR so I leave him alone.

House's i guess, when you break their alliance with the legion.
I really like the Great Khans,
Papa Khan is a great character with his "father" role

You do know the Great Khans were once the New Khans that were once just the Khans.

Still the Khans are not as big as the Legion and not as powerful. If they were the "bad guys." It would be like the Enclave as in "How many times do we have to destroy them! :swear: "

Great Khans were also driven out of NCR to start with.

According to the wiki, that ending is for House, Yes-Man, and NCR. The Khans have to be convinced to break the alliance with Caesar, but not by killing Papa and replacing him with Regis.

Yeah, that's right. I wasn't suggesting that they could serve as the 'other side' as they are presented in the current game. They'd have to have been much larger, perhaps if they'd absorbed some tribes on their way East.

They've had that ending in all my games. When I did NCR I just lied to the Colonel. Enjoyed doing it too. Awful woman.

Did it with Legion too........I just made sure to break their alliance before I went to the Strip so I was forgiven. Now SOP in any future run.
