Does installing to hard drive help with framerate drops?

Post » Wed Jun 10, 2009 3:26 am

I have an older model 360 and the framerate stutters quite a bit and I'm only on the first 3rd of the game. The board right before lab rats right before you get in the tank. Maybe it's the off screen tank launching rockets combined with guys shooting but damn it got choppy. It's also a bit choppy during regular shootouts.
Does anyone know if an install helps?

PS: I've been loving the single player and multiplayer but the singplayer framerate drops are a bit dissapointing. I'd rather lower res graphics with a smooth framerate but I appreciate the extent to which Crytek has gone to make this game look beautiful.

That's suprising that an install would increase pop up.

I think your reason of drop is because the xbox is unable to cool sufficiently, so it is reducing usage on processors in order to cool down...

To test this, my friend had old xbox 360, which had same problems, so we added Air-conditioned duct on the side of xbox to cool it down faster...

wow the frame rate is stable .... definitely a cooling problem
