Do you realize that they locked out all the textures, objects, etc. Do you realize it can't be modded? Do you hear the crickets chirping when we ask for help? I feel sorry for people like you. They didn't lock out all but 40 CVARS. You can still use all the same ones from the beta leak, the only difference is that you now have to put them in the System.cfg instead of typing them into the console. Stop being lazy and try that out and it works just fine.

Here is a brilliant idea to everybody saying that developers have to cater to the console market to stay in business: Maybe if developers would put more attention into the development of PC games there would be a larger consumer base and they could make more money off of the platform. With the current trend of poor support to the PC community, of course the companies aren't going to make much money off of us. We don't like to be treated so poorly, thus the lack of support ensues. Some of the PC community even turns to pirating games when they don't feel that the developer deserves their money.

There's no game of this type as good as this-- once the minor kinks get worked out.

Sure, go play a co-up puzzle game, or Team Fortress 2-- an awesome team game where individual skill barely matters. This is an amazing game better than its competitors. Every expectation people are whining about it not fulfilling they should have never had in the first place.

At least Valve has better quality control and cares about the pc gaming community. They are porting Portal 2 over to the other systems but they built for pc first then port it over, the way it should be.
I wonder are you on an Xbox or pc cause from what I have read they including PS3 all have alot of problems.

Listen to the CEO of Crytek explain how/why consoles cannot play Crysis 1, which then explains why they suddenly work for Crysis 2...because it was designed with consoles in mind first and foremost! The game design(by his own words) must be configured to run on consoles, which would be different from what could be done on PC.
