Your Ideas for Great Crysis 2 Game modes ?

Just Wondering what game mode or game type would u love to see in crysis 2. It can be a regular well known game type, or with a crysis twist.

I would love to see VIP. Where each team has a VIP. say 5v5 or 6v6. The VIP has no suit power and so only has health and standard movment. its up to his team mates to protect him and kill the other VIP using their suit modes and skills.

Regular players can die and respawn with a delayt or say 5 seconds. The VIP can not die. The game is over if the VIP dies.

Weapons would appear on the map and so a smart team would control the good weapon spawns and attack the other teams VIP.

Another cool thing would be to hav the VIP become visable in the new Tactical mode. so if u switch to this mode u can see the location of the VIP (insta of a stupid icon or different coloured player).

what modes u guys think would work well ?

Capture the Alien. Works like this (complex CTF mode)

An alien boss (dead, didn't self destruct) is set in the middle of the map. Your goal is to capture it, and bring it back to your base for the technology. However, you need to use aviation to bring it to your base because of the weight (referencing the vtol + alien capture scenes from Warhead). Once you fly it back to your base, you need to protect it while the technology is extracted (variation of Power Struggle energy points), and the other side at this point is attempting to steal it back from your base. If you accomplish extracting the technology to 100%, you win! :)

What do you guys think?

I would like to see a co op mode in which you and another player were in a map and the goal were to kill all the alians this would be cool because the two player could would have to coordinate and have a strategy.

Squad death match (4 squads of 4, FFA - like BC2)


Attack and Defend (made this up):

One team is crynet ops, with regular soldiers - but infinite and fast respawns. They have to defend a location - their base.

Other team is nanosuits, with nanosuit guys - but limited and slow respawns. They have to take a location - enemy base.



CTF
KoTH
Squad KoTH

Squad power-struggle - Two alien sites, one proto, no bunkers. 4 teams of 4 fight for a nuke.

- Co-Op: through the singleplayer Campaign, or a new campaign dealing with two new Nanosuit Characters. Or even several levels with "wave" gameplay.

- Sabotage: explosives are in the middle of the map and both teams have to get the explosives, sneak into the opposing team's battleship sitting in the harbor or other side of small island and blow it up from the inside.

- Sea Battles: Similar to SWBF2 Space Battles. Two enemy ships meet in the middle of the ocean and deck it out between each other. The players must take out specific parts of the ship before destroying the enemy ship.

- Some form of CTF: I'll leave this to Crytek to come up with something creative, but please...include CTF.

- Frontlines: Two large armies (probably 32 players per team) meet each other and a battle ensues. The army that walks away, wins.

That's about all I can think of right now. I do hope these are taken into serious consideration.

Talon95, I really like your idea.

My idea is... Team deathmatch*, with CryNet soldiers and aliens messing around in a crossfire. 4 teams, 2 playable and another 2 NPCs (AI only).
3 possible endings:
First two are one of the "playable" teams winning.
The last one is both "playable" teams losing. The AI wins.

So sometimes we could see cooperation against the AI, and sometimes just killing eath other as a normal Team Deathmatch*.

*Of course, when I say Team Deathmatch, I cold say just Deathmatch, Talon95's idea or any other MP gamemode with AI enemies.


What do you guys think about this one?

I don't know if this is the best place to mention this, but i did like the co-op senarios in Modern Warefare 2: Spec Ops. It made the experience feel quite immersive. I would love to see something not completely the same, but a little like that only with some more narrative to it.

For example you and small team need to fight you way out of a city map. Like in the New York demo.

I have some ideas and here is one of them. If we to have a game mode called Base Struggle which would involve in 2 teams, one team starts at one side of the map and the other on the opposite side of the map and of course the objective of the game is to race to the base in the center of the map and capture 2 or 4 maybe 6 or 8 waypoint pads (depending on the size of the base or map) so then you have to defend these waypoint pads for so long like maybe 10 or 20 seconds till you capture a single waypoint pad and once your team has fully captured all waypoint pads the base is taken and you have won the game.

Possibly a new form of TIA would be cool, just pretty much like the same as TIA in crysis wars but this new TIA consists of 4 or maybe 6 teams all having the same goal to keep killing the other teams and whoever gains the most points wins.

Example:

Score 2000 points to win...

And I like Ekizels and talons idea's but Ekizel your idea would be better if a team is escorting the ViP to 1 location while the other Team has to eliminate the the VIP before he get's to his extraction point.
As both teams fight it out over there own objective.

one man army mode , one soilder is having the all suit modes released the others have limited suit modes , all the rest trying to catch the one soilder who is having more abilities than the others . , the objective ( if you acccept ) is like this , 5 minutes game time , a medium size map , no respawn , and you can add ...
