Explorer.exe responsible for some bugs or causing issues?

Hey, I noticed something interesting. I have been experiencing many of the bugs people have mentioned here with game, including loses melee upon reloading and being unable to log in. When using Unlocker (http://www.filehippo.com/download_unlocker/) to check what processes are using the Crysis 2 program files folder, I find explorer.exe using all of the sub folders. I was wondering if anyone could quickly navigate to their Crysis 2 program files folder and try it and tell me if you find explorer.exe listed in the program. I find it odd, though it could be nothing.

It's normal because you are starting the game from Explorer.exe shell. When you start the game from catalog/start menu/desktop shortcut explorer's process is actually executing application that you want. In this way explorer.exe becomes as a parent for application and as i said before is normal under Windows systems (and others also)

Okay. It's just strange that I haven't seen other games do this. Thanks!

I have read your post again and I gave you probably wrong answer. At first I thought that you are posting about that explorer is a parent for crysis2.exe process.

It is quite strange behaviour - perhaps Windows is making some crazy file indexing stuff or crysis is using some functions that are implemented in explorer's binary. I'm not so sure right now.

Do you see it happening on your PC too?
