Post » Mon Jun 15, 2009 7:56 am

I know its in a folder called Bin64, where it was dumped; I can't launch it, error is about can't find certain files, so i copied all the Bin32 files there in hopes it would use those, but to no avail... So any one know what to do?

may i ask why you need the 64 bit editor as the 32 bit works fine?

^ How are you up to 1,100 posts?

Also, the 32-bit editor is limited to 4gb of ram. Most people wont go past 4gb, but I've found ways....

Best off posting this on Crymod instead. It works for me fine however, possibly try a re-install. Also what are the exact error messages you are getting?

As it's not efficient- I have 6GBs of RAM, whereas the 32Bit can only use 3.somethingGB's....

if the editor needs over 3GB of RAM then you need to streamline your map, a good MP map is ~80MB max and SP ~150MB...

Lol, the editor uses way more RAM than the file size of your map. Like all the textures, models and code. And the 64bit editor works more stable. And I'd suggest you reinstall Crysis, patch it to the newsest version and retry.

On a side note...if you are running Windows 7 you will have to go 64bit if you want to use the editor. It doesn't work correctly using 32bit.. ...as I found out!!

I ended up reinstalling Windows to get the editor working....must be too keen on the game aye ;-)

Forgot to add...With the Cryis Editor, Windows Media Player, IE 8, MS Word, MS Outlook, Corel Photo Paint X5 and Virus Scan etc open on my PC, all of which are memory hogs, I am using a grand total of 1.85GB of memory....so unless you are using Windows 7 there is no need to use 64bit if you want to edit maps. The extra RAM won't be used :-)
