I'm finally getting around to playing FO:NV and the big thing that continually stands out for me is just the superb ambience set forth by the soundtrack. In the original FO3, I had to cycle between the inane Conan-wannabe theme and the repetitive radio/trite Threedog dialogue. In New Vegas, I don't even bother turning on the radio as the background music sets the tone for a Fallout game beautifully. Kudos to Obsidian and the composer.
A cross between Fallout 1 & 2 and Arcanum, I love it.
I'd have loved a Wild Wasteland encounter where you find a wrench and toolbox in the middle of the wasteland and you hear http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2HjLN1TA3bc.
Actually, IMHO, i liked the music here as good as i liked FO3 music, both were done well, Inon Zur is a wonderful music man, and the music hits are timeless.
Theres only like 2 songs in the entire game*? You joker?
One with the lyrics "Aint that a kick in the head" and the other "How lucky can one man be, I kissed her and she kissed me" Actually, it might just be one song...hold on #loads Fallout#
