How Do You Handle Spoilers?

This may be an odd or foolish question, but I guess I'm just a little too obsessive about things, but I guess its hard not to be when you have OCD I admit. Anyway though, I'm curious to know if it bothers any other players out there when they find out things by mistake and how you handle it. Of course I know it would bother people, but to what extent. I know that discovering the ending to a game and learning a location of a secret weapon for instance are two different things, but I'm the kind of person where even If I find out something small like where to find something, It kind of irks me as I'd have rather found it myself and had the accomplishment of it. I always stay away from guides and usually forums, but I like to be a part of the community so sometimes its hard to not come to general discussion. Thankfully Bethesda does a pretty good job at keeping item/quest questions out of general. Basically I was looking for character ideas, and came across Planet Fallout at IGN, and in their character ideas section, they blatantly list how to get something under a character type, I wont say what in case its spoiled for someone else, but It was just kind of lame since I wasn't even searching for that information. Maybe this isn't even a viable question since its just one of those things where once it happens there's nothing you can do about it, so I apologize if I seem like an idiot for asking. OCD isn't easy so it puts me in a separate category altogether, but I was just curious how others handle it, and maybe some ways to not let it get in the way of enjoying the game.

i haven't completed this game yet, but, if i ever begin to read something that could be a spoiler, i just stop. press "back" in the browser or something. because i know it will ruin the experience for myself. so the best tip i have is to stay out of fansites until you reached a point in the game when you just want to know all the details that the game can give you :)

this forum seem to have a special marker for spoilers though :) and that's good.

(and i'm an obsessive person too :P )
