pre-requisites for games and/or animation industry

hi i have a question..this may be a stupid one..but to work in this industry..like designing levels and characters etc for games or whatever and even computer/3d animation for movies etc...do you need to know how to draw? lol or be very artistic?..need any natural skills?
Thanks..I'd much appreciate any help, sorry if it's a dumb question..

Being able to draw helps for almost every designing position you can think of. There are still a lot of options open to to you if you cannot draw, but there's some good news in this case, you can learn it!

I know a few guys that wanted to design but couldn't draw at all, but they put the time and effort into learning and practicing (it's all about practicing) and now they're using this skill every day. You should check the job positions are various companies to find out if drawing skill is a requirement of the job you're after.
