I have a things for hats. I have since I first got F3, I have always kept hats on my person, not for the Perception boost, but for the fact that a [censored] love hats. Sadly, most of my hats are broken, or in pretty bad shape, and none of the repair guys i've found will repair them. The only way Ihave found to repair my hats, is by using another hat, which I really don't want to do. Anyone know a good way to keep hats in a good condition?

get jury rigger , then you fix almost every type of hat (apart from ranger hat) with the common per-war hat , sunglass and combat hemlets!

Don't wear them into combat?

...for some reason (at least for me) hats very rarely become damaged in combat. I've run around with a hat on that was only a sliver away from complete 'destruction' for half a game. I don't usually bother to repair them, since it's not like their repair condition affects their in-game looks at all. The only ones I'll repair occasionally are the ones that are fairly rare, and for that, yeah, jury-rigging is the way to go.

Jury rigging it is then. I've already messed up my current character, so i'll fit it into my next build.
