Stop the platform wars or won't eat anything anymore! >_O

I guess people like me are a rarety...

I play both console and PC and I like both much, because certain games are better to play on PC and some are better to play on consoles. That is a fact! Assassin's Creed and Mirror's Edge are games that better be played on consoles (stupid PhysX makes PC players think they're something better), because you can feel the controlls and make a more fluid gameplay. Inbefore you ask, yes, I tried both versions. PC users always say: "Mouse and Keyboard are better than controllers", without giving a reason. They just say it and for them, it's true and it doesn't matter why. It's wrong. Even for an FPS, a Gamepad can be good. Halo (yeah I know but that's the only console exclusive shooter I've played) is WAAAY more fun with Pad, than with mouse and keyboard. I have a friend, who is a pure PC-player. Everytime I told him about a console game he said: "Nah, you can't play it with pad". And when I finally told him to grab that piece of plastic and actually play it, he then said: "Oh... Works..."

As a summary of this text I can say, platform wars are led by fanboys, ignorants or people who haven't tried the other plattform. It has to stop. And if it already has, people have to accept each others opinion.

Indeed, especially stupid statements like 'consoles have better graphics, PC's are £1k+, console players are all morons, controller > KB+M in fps's'.

All of these have been proven wrong, yet are always stated by fanboys :P

Agreed. This forum has huge console war problem. Fact of the matter is, we are all on a game forum for THE SAME GAME, yet we are arguing over something as stupid as which console is "better". You can't disprove somebody's opinion, so all of these arguments are quite annoying.

I'll be playing Crysis 2 on Xbox 360 along with some other friends of mine on XBL, and I am 100% sure I will enjoy it JUST AS MUCH as somebody who will buy it and play it on the PC with friends.

/DEBATE

I actually downloaded the "Be The Weapon" trailer on my Xbox 360, and my God does it look great. If that's any hint to what the final product will look like, Crysis 2 will be THE standard for graphics on the 360.

I hope so, because widespread adoption of cryengine 3 would be awesome. The xbox gets their standard of graphics along with the ps3, but PC owners finally get the graphics they've deserved since at least 2008.

lol at previous posts xD

PC users always say: "Mouse and Keyboard are better than controllers", without giving a reason.

i can give you one, you are able to hit someone with a mouse without the help of an auto-aimer and all the gameplay is quicker
and yes i have played on a console
though i do agree controller is good for other kind of games, racing and sports for instances, i myself have a rumblepad 2 for pc (for those that dont know is like a ps3 controller)

The mouse+keyboard combo has been proven, PROVEN by microsoft no less, to be better than controllers in first person shooters. Fact. Done and dusted. Final. No argument. It's over.

If they were as good why do you need aim assist to be a tenth as accurate?

Controllers are much better for gta4 though, and pretty much anything that isn't designed specifically for kb+m. It's great though, because a PC can use both :P

Yeah... Its rediculous, but I don't like the console fans who think they know it all and are better than us PC gamers.

You can build a $300 PC right now that does way more graphically than a console, without stupid monthly fees for networking and such. ;)

The problem is when people think that you need to build a PC machine that can max out the graphics which is expensive, when in reality a simple $300 pc can do more than consoles at the same price. ;)

A $300 PC right now can do wayy more than the 720p no AA 30fps on medium settings that the consoles do... Yet it costs less than a console. :D

A $300 PC can max out Crysis DX9 1440X900. All a console can do is Crysis Medium DX9 1280x720. In fact the resolution would be less and can only get 30fps.

I'm starving :(
Actually, the PC has more potential than a console, but still the decision lies at the customer. I'm not saying a PC is ultra expensive, but instead of people counting pixels at a screen I'd like to enjoy the overall performance/graphics of a game. It's often this sheme: PC gamers are well informed people about how a game is running on PC AND on console. But instead of keeping that in mind for themselves, they keep flaming consoles with "No AA" or "720p". I can't run Crysis with AA but on very high, but I don't care. The quality of a console is not lying in the graphics, but that's something PC-gamers don't get. And so plattform wars arise. And people like me read this and say "WTH? They're both equal, but in different criterias." I'm getting Crysis 2 for PC. Not because of the graphics, but because I don't cross plattforms when it comes to sequels, in fact, I'd rather buy it for Xbox. I participated at the closed Multiplayer test and it was fast and stable, well balanced and still tactical. You shouldn't judge because of videos, because 90% of the players just can't play it properly.

Tl:dr
Consoles don't have 100mb connection, DX11, tessellation, DDR3 ram, overclock, BIOS and the ability to kick racist, screaming 13 year olds out of your game when you're hosting.
