Hey Cry-Tom its DAY 2 and my Limited Edition isnt working!

Post » Fri Jun 26, 2009 2:09 pm

So what is the deal. I pay $60 dollars for a game, I have the limited edition and when i enter multi-player and its says I get Bonus XP, Scar, Urban Camo, Ect. So I go into a lobby and go to customize my weapons and I am locked out and am Reverted back to rank 1.

Could we as a community/consumer get some CLEAR CLARIFICATION that something is being done about this. Cause this is really getting annoying that we should all have to keep re-entering our keys and deal with a NON-functioning game!

Ill share a video I put up yesterday of what I am experiencing with the Limited Edition not working!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yAE1z9yvlbk

Please get back to US asap, you know the people who pay for your guys' game so you can get fat paychecks!!

Same problem here.

Bought through Steam. Registered code at gamesas (after 4 attempts) yet nothing unlocked. Rank reset to 1 after every round.

I've had the same issue, I've contacted Steam last night with no response. I'm now going thru the process of a charge back I recommend you do the same.

A chargeback WILL result in your SteamID being disabled. Steam tends to respond within 48 hours, but can take up to five business days. Be patient with them.

Lucky me, my rank goes up but my assessments and unlocks get reset.

I can't wait till the bug is fixed so that I'm stuck at level 12 with no unlocks, that'll sure be fun.

Guys.. keep in mind Steam has no control over Crytek/EA's servers and services. All they can do is manage the storefront in this scenario. If you want a refund, go ahead and submit a ticket, but don't go around threatening lawsuits, BBB complaints or whatever else against Steam in this case.

As I said before going through with a chargeback against Steam will result in your SteamID being locked.

I know its only been two days, but in the past I have dealt with Fallout Vegas being unplayable cause they didn't release it with a patch and had to wait for that, then Call of Duty Black Ops came out and had REALLY bad graphic optimization had to wait for that to be fixed. The crap gets old after a while. It just seems that game developers DO NOT have anymore game testers in their budgets anymore.

Well i never said i would be filing for a charge back, and I know that Steam really has no control... But i sure as hell could do MY part in trying to keep these developers in line when It comes to releasing half-assed products THEY call games...

Lets just say someone was building you a house, and they KNOWINGLY left out the frame work and just put up drywall and said "Ok here is your house, have fun!" The house is just going to fall apart, you already gave them the money and they skip town and are spending it up in vegas or miami, or just having a good time on your dime and your left with a pile of crap.

Now i am not saying that building a house and making games are the same thing. But I mainly bought this game to play the multi-player. The multi-player being the frame of the house I put money on. I have no frame and all i got is this really cool looking menu background. When I move into a house I want to be able to enjoy it DAY 1, and not to have the builder come back later and say oh yeah we forgot to add the frame we'll "patch" that in at a later date.

I could be wrong but there HAS to be some checks and balances when it comes to developers pulling this crap.

If your going to make a game for consoles, then build it for consoles.

If your going to make a game for PC's, well damn it make it for PC's.

lol. The BBB doesn't actually do anything. What it does is the same thing as what the collective "we" have done- told the world about the absurdities that we've been faced with after purchasing this game.

Honestly, it's day 2. Play some single player campaign. By the time you finish it, stuff should be working and/or you'll have gotten a reply about your problems from your formal ticket requests. The campaign is really good (you have to view it as its own game, and not as the successor to Crysis though; it's just not the same), try it. Trust me.

The campaign is broken too! When resuming the game your nano catalyst randomly disappears. You also lose the ability to melee when you die. Game scripts like the enemy cars stop working after you die sometimes. I would be OK with the multiplayer being dysfunctional, but even the single player is broken. I've been supporting Crytek for a long time, but even I am astounded at the lack of quality assurance. Those single player bugs I mentioned should not be there in a finished product. I wanted to avoid making any of these angry posts like others have done, but I'm just really annoyed at this. I actually have to wait for a patch to make single player and multiplayer usable...

C'mon Crytek! I know you're better than this!

P.S. I have the disc version of the game

The main issue with the LE not sticking is that it was supposed to give those that spent the extra $$ a boost. A small insignificant boost but that was what the agreement was. Now for those that wanted the value for their $$ on day 1 are not getting it. It has actually made the whole thing pointless. I will probably reach these unlocks myself before they fix it.

If I reach level 5 by the time they fix this will I be auto boosted to level 10 with additional unlocks for my $$??
