Big Change

Post » Sat Jun 27, 2009 5:02 pm

This site has changed a lot haven't it?

I joined this site in the first hours of its launch, because we were told that of the first wave of registers, some will be picked for a beta(what now?). Now my point is, when it first started out, we were few, it was all organized and quite civil, but in the last few months(2-3) the "body count" meter has tripled it's number, many people suddenly joined this forum, and every thing went south, a thread can get buried in a matter of hours, those many people are not all very civil, educated nor playful, we need to restore order.
I hope that moderators will rise and police this site, because as it is right now, it's very good.

Its the side effect of marketing hype - it increases sales but tends to attract nuckleheads.

I think whenever a game is about to get released, or when big news comes up, all kinds of people come onto here, simply for answers, "Official Answers" to be precise.

But in the last few days, the general forum has become a demo forum, which is horrible. I think it would be best if it were to be placed in one topic, then we can see the seriousness of the topic.

Other than that, it's going to be a pretty busy week for all of us, personally, and in gaming.

Afterwards, things are going to die down, not many of these newer members here stay too long, but there are some who actually do, which is good. I've been here since the last gamesas, so now I'm making a full commitment of being active as much as possible.

If Crysis 2 does become a popular game, I can expect this site to be flooded with loads of new members and topics.

The odd thing about all this is, all these new members arrived when no new info was released, the great information drought of Q4 2010. Sure some came now with the new trailer and demo, but not 60 thousand.
