The E3 demo was played...

... in a PC (controls mapped to the xbox gamepad)?
... or in a Xbox 360?

Why they don't say in any interview which of the platforms is being used to demo the game? :(

The E3 demo was played on the Xbox360, I don't think they want to fool you thinking it is Xbox, but it's actually PC footage. Believe me, it's on the 360.

What you see in that video is just i video I think. I can't see anybody playing it. And if someone played they where really good at doing the same thing that was done on the presentation of Crysis 2 on the EA conference on tuesday

It's running on a PC with xbox360 settings. Stability is most likely the reason. They're still optimizing and improving the game, so they don't want to risk too much.

In one of the videos (I forgot, sorry!) the game crashed to desktop on Windows 7. They were playing it using an Xbox360 controller, but on PC. The button commands for the 360 come up if you plug it in, so even if it has the commands it doesn't mean it was on an Xbox360.

^ The demo's were all TECHNICALLY running on Windows 7, on a computer, but to allow them to get perfect FPS all the time (its pre-beta...), they ran it on the PC so they could get massive amounts of overhead. However, they were using the same visual settings as the Xbox will use - making it look like the Xbox version.

IMO good idea... but they forgot to show us true PC gameplay on max.

True... but could that be the reason it had screen tearing? Is it like simulated or something?

I think the screen-tearing came from GameTrailers/IGN/whoever uploaded and encoded the video.

im thinking the same thing (xobx settings running on a pc) thats why they were always so secretive about what system theyre showing. they never talked about the xbox 360 itself even though ALL actual ingame video so far is supposedly what the 360 version will look like.
i hope they dont have to let go of the dynamic shadows or some of the motion blur before release.

Right, alot of people are forgetting these videos aren't running at full resolution. Most of them are streaming, and the way the videos are encoded create little hiccups and visual tears. More than likely, those anomalies you're seeing are just because of the flashplayer and the connection being used to stream it.
