One could argue that New Vegas is the expansion pack :hehe:

But seriously, there'll be DLC packs available for it that expand the game. However they propably won't be buyable from shops until the Collection or GOTY edition is released, perhaps sometime next year?

what is goty and what is DLC?

GOTY = Game Of The Year. The comilation pack that generally includes the game, the most recent patch and all the DLC. Usually released sometime after the final DLC and generally gets priced the same as the game was originally priced at release.

DLC = DownLoadable Content. Essentially any addon that is released via downloadable sources. ie: Steam, XboxLive, PSN, GFWL.

The addons probably won't be availiable to buy in shops until at least the second one is released. (Fallout 3's were released in packs of two with the fifth Mothership Zeta only availiable via download and the GFWL.

Only the PC and Xbox360 got the retail versions of the DLC, due to issues with installing the addon content from disc on the PS3

New locations are added away from the main map in a separate world space. Travelling between the locations is usually achieved by going to an existing location and location something new.

For example, Fallout 3's Operation Anchorage added a door to an existing building at the east edge of the DC ruins that led to a new area.

Won't be for a while yet. Not until all the DLCs have been released on all platforms.

Could be looking at October/November time at least.

Yes, it means it won't be in the same map as the rest of the game. Fallout 3 for eaxample had the Point Lookout DLC that added a new map about 1/4 of the size of the original game map.

And they're not free, Fallout 3 DLCs cost $10 a piece, it seem to be same for New Vegas.

Four DLCs are planned, i've no idea how big they will be though

The first one was released for Xbox already, and will be released for PC and PS3 next Tuesday, the XBox users can tell how big it is.
