Cheaters might wanna read this

Post » Sat Jul 18, 2009 11:09 am

Crytek has just announced via its official blog on the EA.com site that people caught using exploits in Crysis 2 will be penalised.

Ruh roh!

The blurb on the official blog reads: "We do take cheating very seriously here at Crytek. We are currently taking steps to permanently remove exploits from Crysis 2 and to penalize those individuals that choose to utilize them. We thank you for your patience and want to ensure you that we will continue to work hard to keep the integrity of Crysis 2 intact and cheat-free."

We have no idea what the cheats or exploits are, although I'm sure some of you will tell us in the comments, but the moral of the story is, "Play nicely in Crysis 2 or Crytek will spank your ass!" SPANK YOUR ASS, I SAID!

Cool, but... Are there cheaters?

The leaderboards seems kinda full with cheaters or boosters, I don't know. But I didn't come across one ingame yet. -Lucky-

I'm glad CryTek are doing something about the cheaters unlike other games ...... we all know which one *cough*Black Ops*Cough* I hope they don't let the cheaters off easy, they should be banned and thats final.

This refers to the PC version. There are boosters on the PS3, but no cheaters i'm aware of. There are exploits in the Singelplayer though, which they might want to fix.

If you ever run across somebody who is obviously glitching or something, use this link to report:

0 tolerance for cheaters, hackers, boosters and glitchers.

What about the leaderboards? Or are those bugged?

no the leaderboards are pretty straight. i was 22 in the world and had just played alot. i can see that some people would have boosted but i truthfully havent along with alot of the top people as i have played with them often. there are some random glitches that have happened to me online but nothing major except the time i was playing on parking deck and when i jumped off the second story it glitched and i was walking around in mid air and was able to shoot everyone from above them. idk if this is something that is able to be repeated but it is definitely one that needs fixing

I'm sure a lot of them are legit, but sure some did something wrong. How can a guy with 10 minutes gameplay be so high in the XP leaderboards? (1st pic)

And how can it be that there are guys with 2 hours gameplay, or 3 hours gameplay, have the same XP as guys with 2 days gameplay?

The leaderboards are pretty unreliable at the moment. If I bring up my friends list leaderboard it shows some guys have only played minutes and others playing for hours despite the fact we all have 10+ hours at least. I don't think the boards are a good way of establishing cheaters at this point.

Alright, was only asking because I wanted to know. :)

I hope it doesn't become like COD where the top... 5000? are hackers...

Just reported someone today using that link. Guy was spamming messages telling everyone to join some hacking site.

the reason for the leaderboards looking like that is cause those people have rebooted. it resets everything including you time played
