Ok, so who is using PewPew or the Tesla Cannons?

I was always wondering how many people actually do use such weapons, despite the tremendous implications regarding ammo costs and carry load.
I really like the looks of Pew Pew, however it is just not really useful for general side arm work. If it did 30 damage and used just 2 SEC, I'd happily equip it.

There is the Plasma Defender you know?

I only use Telsa Beaton during "hardcoe" period of my 1st playthrough; mainly because my character isn't EW focus.

I say what Pew-Pew needs is 6 cell per shot and 40 dmg.

*Raises hand for using Pew Pew.*

It's one of those weapons I just carry around for kicks. I mainly use it just for sneak attacks / higher end enemies. I've always classified the Pew Pew as being a Laser version of a Double-Barreled Shotgun, as it works in essence the same way. When I need power, I take it out and kick some butt with it. Funny thing is, I carry far too many Energy cells for it, despite not using it as often as say, the RCW or AER14.

The Ammo costs for these weapons is too high for me to use them regularly. They are fun to play with though.

I never get enough bottlecaps to acquire Pew-Pew with my EW character :hehe: As for Tesla Beaton, i tickled the Deathclaw mommy with it, after tickling it with Euclids tickle beam, seem like a waste of inventory space to me when the Plasma Caster killed it with three MC shots. Though i did use standard ammo, might've been more effective with MC ammo

Have tried Pew Pew, found it completely ridiculous and impractical. If you're married to the idea of energy sidearms the plasma defender delivers 1/2 the damage for 1/15th the ammo cost, and, it doesn't need to reload after only 2 shots so the actual total DPS is right up there. Pew Pew is more accurate than the plasma defender, but only as accurate as a laser pistol and much less so than the laser rifle or gauss rifle if you want to lay down some long ranged high voltage death.

Too high ammo consumption is too high ammo consumption.
TC should require like 20 ECP or hell even 15 ECP and still do the same if not more damage and have a paralyze % effect.
And Pew Pew should require 8 EC with 40 total ammo and do the same damage. (Now this would make it a real energy weapon and not some toy laz0r like the rest...)

No, and No.

Pew Pew, Meh. Not really.

Tes, I would love to but it STILL devours a full clip with each single shot.
