Games crashes constantly

Hi folks!

I don't know how much more of this I can take, before I uninstall this piece of crap for a game permanently. The game is constantly crashing to the desktop –but only to the Fallout New Vegas Launcher splash screen. After that it freezes or locks up--whatever you want to call it. The point is I then have to control>alt>delete to shut it down completely. Even when I access the console and use "qqq" to shut the game down it does the same damn thing. Moreover, if AND when I am playing the game it crashes every ten minutes or so. So, I am constantly saving every five minutes. It doesn't matter if I am walking through a door, fast-tracking, or scratching my characters ass: It crashes.

I have uninstalled and completely and freshly reinstalled the game numerous times and nothing helps. Oh, before you say it? Yes!?! I have Steam Cloud selected. I have done all that bulls*** several times over. The only response I get from Steam Tech support is, "Check our FAQ's?" I am at my wits end here. What the hell is the problem: and, how can it be fixed --or can't it be fixed?

(I don't mind saying so, but over a year ago, I purchased and downloaded Dragon Age Origin Deluxe Edition via Direct2Drive and after installing perhaps 30 or 40 mods into the game, that game has never crashed—ever. I can't say anything good about Steam in that regard now can I?!?) Thank you.

Here is a direct quote that i left with Steam Tech Support.

QUOTE:

"I am still having major problems with Fallout New Vegas and Steam. The damn thing crashes now every five or ten [censored] minutes. So, you can take Fallout New Vegas and Steam and shove it up you [censored] ass. I am done [censored] with it. I will go back and play Dragon Age Origins via Direct2Drive where the game never crashes."

END QUOTE

I don't think it has anything to do with your cpu..... it did the same thing when i played it on the ps3. i couldnt even press the 'ps3' button to shut the system down. i had to either turn it off by the console (if i was lucky, that would work) or i'd have to unplug the whole thing (even though thats a terrible thing to do) it was so very irritating!

The game works fine for thousands of people, either you have a faulty disk, a piece of software that conflicts with it, or a system that cannot handle it.
