Please patch the multiplayer!!

Post » Sun Aug 16, 2009 5:40 am

I have never experienced such poor netcode in a game. There is so much lag in the online that it's literally impossible to play this game online. Out of 50+ matches I've never seen one single person outside of the host that has more than 2 bars.
Crytek, if you want to keep at least some customers, you should patch the game. In its current state, there's no doubt in my mind that I'm going to sell it as soon as i finish the single player. There are dozens of people online with the exact same issue. Quite frankly, I'm steering people away from buying your game. Was testing even done on this game at all? Piss poor product.

True that bro, why did I buy this game? I should've GameFly'd it. Hopefully they fix it, if they don't, just another game for the trash bin.

The single player campaign was absolutely incredible. Sure some things got changed from Crysis 1 storyline wise, but they cover it up pretty well.

The thing that makes me confused is the MP. its very frustrating with all the lag, and no offense but I didnt drop 60$ just for a campaign, although

that was an amazing one, no campaign is worth 60$ And nope im not "bad" I have a 2.50 k/d and im a 24, Ive obviously spent enough time to know

what Im talking about.

I should have borrowed it, or rented for a week, sad too because of all the great games coming out this year, I expected Crysis 2 to be the best.

The host svcks balls in this game. The multiplayer is fine but the host selection is terrib;le, since Crytek UK made the online(WHY THE **** WOULD YOU LET THE BRITISH MAKE AN ONLINE GAME WHEN THEY HAVE TROUBLE PLAYING WITH THE ONLINE COMMUNITY ANYWAY??????? **** STUPID) so i think that perhaps the online servers are big hosted in UK. An easy fix for this would be to have every Crytek US, UK, AUS, what ever, have it's own servers to support the players in that continent or region instead of mixing them alla nd letting the UK, AUS, Germany and all play with NA players and GIVE host to the europeans. Like really? FU crytek.

You're welcome. They're working on it so get your panties out of a wad. Patches don't happen overnight.

1st - That is the forum for the PC!!!! That says nothing of the issues for the Xbox 360. Please stop forwarding post from other platforms on the 360 forum. This says nothing on the issues we are having. The PC version was not even playable until a patch was released.

2nd - Why are they replying to PC and no other platform? Is the console market less important than the PC? Or is it that all the UK cares about is PC?

CryTech is done in my book and I will never help them stay in business. The product was a waste. Yes the single player was great in today standard, which has been declining over recent years because of poor releases and constant patches. I feel shut out as the consumer and think that being treated like this is unacceptable. We as a community should take a stand and stop letting developer keep getting away with issues like this time and time again.

1) Don't be an arse. Developers almost always respond to PC players first because it's easier to clear patches through one party (EA) than through the console networks (SCEA and XBL). They know we're having problems so stop being a wanker.

Stop being such a douche. Seriously. Nationality has nothing to do with it; it's hard enough to manage a forum. They've already posted a giant "We see the issues" thread on site's homepage. There's no need to trash them for their nationality simply because you're flipping blind.

This doesn't just go out to you, but to many of you:

Stop being such effing CryBabies. This is their first iteration on the consoles and only their third game, yet you act like, because there are a few issues (like most games released in this day and age) that the developer is done. News-Flash: The price we pay for games that are better than Super Mario Bros. is glitches. It happens; get over it.

No one mistreated you people; you all had ample time to sample the netcode from Beta to Demo and finally to rent the game instead of buying it.

Stop whining. The game is fine. A few bugs shouldn't ruin the experience for you. If you want something completely stable, go back to pong. The rest of us are going to be quite content with our few bugs, relishing in the triumph of man's innovation

I've seen and I've played with tones of three bar connections... you're just unlucky I guess.

You are crazy ....the cost of a game is to expensive and the things are way to tested these days to a failure like this, and yes this RUIN completely the online experience.....if we are complaining is because we can and its our right, so go call cry babe to people you know....

i just dont know what to say about this..
im a huge fan of crysis, when i bought the game and played it i was so amazed, then i tried the multyplayer and my feelings about the game went down until i almost hate it...
I cant play more than 3 matches and i have to start all over again, the conection is only good for the host, and i just dont count the times my tv turn black and i have to go to xbox loby and put the game again...

I just dont know if it was better to have the online pass, or not...
I listen somewere that crytec doesnt let EA put online pass in the game and i liked that decision very much but to have the multi player like that i just dont know if it was a good decision......
PLEASE MAKE SOMETHING ABOUT IT PLEASEE!!!!!

PS: sorry abou english errors..

I understand that you may not understand the concept of money so I'll try to put this in terms you can get.

Let's say you buy a car but it can only go 20 mph until they fix it and you have no idea when it's going to happen and every time you call the dealer you get nothing but ringing on the phone.

Are you going to be happy driving you POS in a 55 mhp zone going only 20 mph?

Or let us say you buy a 1080p TV but when you buy it it only does 720p until they get around to upgrding it.

Are you going to be happy?

Truth is this. All developers have become greedy. They release products unfinished with the intention of "we'll finish it later". When was the last time you put a game in for the first time and it didn't have an update waiting?

This has become the practice behind console game and it is a bad concept. I didn't attack them on Nationality. I could care less but from experience when I lived in Europe for two years. Europeans are pretty rude and do what they want. Ask some Europeans what they think of America and you may not like the answer. Nuff said.

Connection issues have been an issue on the last two FPS's I've played. Black Ops and now Crysis. When I svck at a game, I can still have fun playing and getting owned. But when half of my deaths I feel like I'm getting screwed, that's when I put in a different disc. Not that it matters much, they've already got their money from me. But I won't be buying my next multiplayer shooter until I hear either from my friends or from trolling forums that connection issues don't run rampant.

To say the game is unplayable is a joke. Play BFBC2 when you would rubberband around corners and run into invisible walls and then die after you have been teleported across the map before you dub this game unplayable.

To be honest I have had great games pulling a 2 bar and haven't noticed a huge difference. I figure if it takes forever to gun down a guy he probably had armor on or something. I have pulled host a couple times and I think I did good those games but I haven't been in many situations where lag has flat out prevented me from enjoying the game.

How does the state of one game being worse make this game better? That argument makes no sense, yet it's used all the time. I love Crysis, but I sure as hell can't play it as is. How does playing a more broken game help me play Crysis 2?

so, i don't know what you are complaining about. i have no connection issues.neither in bfbc2 and crysis 2. ok, sometimes it's a little bit laggy but not always. most time i can play very well. check your connection and your NAT status. the only problem is the host election. when one of the players is located in America and he is the host, all of the other players have a bad connection. maybe it will be patched soon.
or just switch to another lobby :D
