Direct3D patch for Crysis

Post » Wed Aug 19, 2009 1:37 am

I have my rig attached to my new 3D HDTV. I upgraded to the Radeon HD 6950 that runs Direct3D. I can play Orange Box in 3D but I get an error message that states Cyrsis did not use Direct3D 9, 10, or 11 and is therefore not compatible with my 3D software. The software company indicates Crysis is supported. It would be awesome to patch Crysis to play in 3D. Any ideas. Thanks.

Not sure if Crysis supports 3D at all, but you can try updating your video card drivers and patching the game to the latest version, to see if that helps at all.

Not much else can be done otherwise as its most likely that the CryEngine 2 doesn't support it.

I'm not sure how much I can help you, but I'll try.

http://www.crymod.com/thread.php?threadid=58566 Crymod user 'Xzero' made a mod so you can play anaglyph 3D.

I also remember trying this software and that it worked (though I beleive you have to pay to use shutter 3d instead of anaglyph)

Hmm, seems a little confusing. Just to clarify:

Direct3D is not "3D" software. Direct3D is the software developed by Microsoft commonly known as DX9, DX10, DX11, etc.
