Post » Thu Aug 20, 2009 1:14 pm

Hello all I purchased Crysis 2 yesterday, I played the demo had no trouble at all, however when I load up single player whenever I enter a new area i slow down for 10-20 seconds I think it's my frames per second dropping. Any way I downloaded my latest drivers and tried again same problem. Is anybody else having an issue like this. Included below are my PC specs and I'm currently running this game at high at 1024x768. (also I know graphics card isnt the best but i ran the demo with out issue)

4.00gb ram
64 bit operating system
intel core duo cpu 2.13 ghz
GeForce 9800m gs 512mb

CrySuki on InCrysis already figured this out. Crytek REALLY screwed us. There are no occluders on the maps. The whole map is drawn no matter what is blocking your view.

Edit: Sounds like it could be something else your having problems with though. Map loading into memory? That would be CPU.

hapens to me as well.. and i have a quad core amd 955be cpu and 4gb ram and GTX480, tho i figured its not the Framerate dropping as i can move the screen around flawlessly and it does not lag. it seems to just be the animations

yes, it's the same with me as well, while the slow down is happening can see myself moving and the actions on screen it's just almost like a lag would be the best way to describe it. Also it never happens at the same place its very random when it happens. i could be playing for an hour and start in a fire fight then boom it happens out of no where
