I just bought Warhead on Steam and having trouble getting a game going. When I first start it it loads to the menu fine and I'm able to configured the settings just fine. My PC more than meets the requirements to run it and I played Crysis at maxed settings with no issues.

But when I start a new game, the opening movie plays fine but after that is when the trouble starts. On the loading screen, it takes quite awhile for it to load. Maybe two or three minutes? And once it does load there's a black screen with some talking, then it cuts to a parachute with no one in it. When the camera pans a bit I see a model of a head with no features just floating in mid-air. I never see any other characters. And once it gets into the gameplay part I can't move at all. I can shoot, change weapons just fine but that's it. All I see is the level and no actual characters.

I've tried messing with the settings, including setting everything to its lowest and no luck.

Can anyone help me out?

Sounds like a driver issue. Are your drivers installed to that latest version?

Also, make sure that Crysis Warhead is patched to version 1.1

I just needed the patch. After I posted I noticed the game was downloading an update through Steam. Afterwards it played fine.
