Just my opinion and suggestion about the graphics...

...for Crysis 2 on consoles.

Looking forward to the PC demo but my suggestion is that Crytek might have to work just a little bit more on the textures. Lighting and shadows is PERFECT. Looking at window from a building when the light is shining on it actually BLINDS you depending on the settings! :D That is awesome. But I feel that the console's textures (ex: for the floor) feel low-res and goes flat sometimes. And the plants in Cryengine 3 say that they've been improved. (They actually move to the "wind" in the game now!) but if you get really close to them, they are 2D and running or walking past them don't make the leaves or plants move a bit like in Cryengine 2. Also the SFX are kinda weak IMO. As in volume and some actual SFX like the guns blazing and etc.

I think we're being too light on Crytek about graphics and sounds because if everyone keeps saying stuff about it being awesome, we could end up having the textures and stuff in the demo the same for the final product. It really needs some improvement.

I know it could cause more lag and stuff but I hope most of these are just for the demo/beta and that they could do something about this. Overall, Crytek is doing good.

And good luck to Crytek on fixing everything before March.

I don't know allot about computers but im pretty sure that a games graphics almost always get dumbed down in multiplayer.
I think crytek did a great job with the hardware they had available So lets face it consoles just aren't that powerful and you have to Cut corners on somethings to get a game to a playable Frame rate
but again this isn't the final product and im sure crysis will get the best graphics possible out of these consoles and remember Single player always looks better.
but I have No problem with louder more aggressive sounding guns and other SFX.
allot of games these days have weak guns sounds that make shooting soo unsatisfying *Cough*COD*Cough*

but lets just wait and see what happens.

I agree with ^^

Looking at the console images the graphics do look a bit flat. The textures especially don't have POM applied which I found made a massive difference to textures in Crysis (although I must be wrong about this because self-appointed Cryengine 2 expert APOC states that POM is rubbish), I don't think the consoles have the power for dense environments with real 3d trees, POM and large texture maps.

I 10000% AGREE gun sounds are weak sounds like an old singer sewing machine. its was one of the biggest mistake in COD B.O. I really hope they will do something with that. Also you need shoot the enemy 1000 times to kill them. I know I know nanosuit, but still, i hope it will be something to not have this annoying situation when you shoot and hit the guy 15 times and after he just have one punch and you're dead(nanosuit can decrease bullet damage, but not a single punch?hmmmm) please please do something with this(my opinion)issues!!!! I hope hardcoe mode will be available as well!!! the rest looks good!
