I can answer this for u, and answer is not a hope in hell, as it would require radical optimising of the game engine, and this would take months, and there is no way to patch that stuff in.

Ppl need to either accept it or get rid of game.

I'm not sure what frame rate issues ppl having exactly though as I've had no major issues in sp or mp( the lag and hit detection however are crap)
The 360 has similar frame rates as well, so get the feeling this is just what they could get engine to run at considering the level of detail ( again months more work may have helped)

Not only no, but hell no. Unfortunately framerate isn't something that can just be patched or fixed. It is the result of a combination of factors. Mainly, the code for the game is sloppy and inefficeint. Crytek are used to developing for PC gamers who will buy $5,000 computers that can run even the sloppiest game code and make it look good. Crytek are obviously clueless about optimizing code for consoles. The console versions of this game just failures, plain and simple. The piss poor framerate will never be improved. Your best bet is to wait for Crysis 3, or get Killzone 3 or Homefront, or any of the upcoming games.

The xbox360 doesn't have the same framerate issues. It indeed runs smoother than the ps3 I can tell you that as a fact. Especially when you go ok cloak.

I think that framerate is quite fixable if it comes along with poor network code. The same issue had CoD:BO at the launch. I am almost sure that the same reason makes menu screens freezing shortly in mp.

The frame rate is still same on black ops , only thing they've fixed is the net code. Lag and frame rates are two very different issues that ppl seem to get mixed up.
U can't patch frame rates, it's not possible

Thing is the frame rate is not great offline either, and is basically same on 360.
The framerate is down to engine and what's being asked of it and the consoles' hardware here by the game .
If game had been delayed by 3-4 months I reckon they could optimise it slightly more, but this isn't going to be patched in.
There's a reason black ops and homefront run at well below sub hd resolutions and thts to maintain frame rates.
I've had few frame rate issues online tbh though, so maybe what ppl are thinking is fps issues is lag??

The only way is wait to see that go unresolved, we all know that the game is not anything good at the level of frame rate and on-line is far worse, we need a very good patch to resolve everything the game has
Examples:
- very LAG
- frame rate drop (much)
-Nat-type
-them party's not work properly
-try to get better resolution (1080p)
among others, if they could solve these problems ... this would be the best multi-player game.
Not only in the off-line multi-player as well.
we expect anytime an announcement by the team Cryket.
Thanks!

Jeez ppl don't listen , the game will never run at higher res , it doesn't run at 720p on 360 and will never do so, it certainly will never run at 108p on any console this generation, not without a 4foa average and no detail on screen.

The frame rate will almost certainly nor be improved either. If anyone can name a game where there has been an acknowledged frame rate improvement in a patch by the Devs, I'll concede, but it's unknown.

The frame rate is fine in this game. It's much better than the majority of multiplatform games I own. It occasionally dips down but not nearly often enough to matter.

However, during one multiplayer match my frame rate was like 15 the entire match. It was awful. It only happened once, though, and hasn't ever happened again. Maybe it's a bug that only some people are experiencing but for me, the frame rate is just fine during multiplayer and single player.

Even if they try to fix this, it will take months of coding to get it right and major engine update, which would require you to buy the game again.

If there is some sort of netcoding issues affecting online frame rate then I am solidly behind u all, but can't say I've had anything other than some annoying lag and the horrendously tempramental hit detection . Frame rate is not great, but not much worse than most attempted 30fps shooters

just said what I thought, I'm not saying to hear what I have to say or not, the forums serve is to do just that, to say what we think ... I said in relation to a possible 1080p. said that they would not ... but we must admit that the game full of errors ta ... thanks

Games full of errors and not very good in sp if u ask me( jury still out on mp) , but c'mon be realistic too lol
No aaa shooter this gen has run at 1080p on console and can't as the ps3 and 360 not powerful enough to do so whilst running at decent level of detail.
So was there point putting that there ???
It's like me saying I want my ps3 to run bf3 at 100fps with 16x aa at 1080p with 32 players online . I want it, but not gonna happen ever, so I wouldn't ask for it, as it's impossible.

I beat the Crysis 2 on "Vietran difficulty" played for at least 20-25 hours and had no framerate issues. Working on "SuperSouldier" is hard stuff beat 2 levels and no framerate issues even when in stealth mode with stealth enhance on. Only issue I see when i play is some times when i grab someone the don't show in my hand instantly only when in the heat of battle other times no problem. Online different story but far as i played no problems with the story mode. Hey lets be realistic ps3 never gets a great looking game like this KZ3 story svcked Balls compaired to KZ2 story but KZ3 had better online I'll give them that. Crysis 2 has a epic story and im glade they made it for ps3 and not just 360 thanks Crytek & Crysis 2 team both of you made my day with this game cant wait till u make a RPG game will kick some butt.

There is frame rate drops , I'm not denying that, and don't think anyone can , even in sp.
When lot did tests on frame rate the ps3 was pretty stable frame rate wise online, averaging about 27 fps, so maybe its an issue with net code. Although generally less stable than 360 in sp, it was more stable in actual firefights and dropped less frames at those points .

Personally not a fan of the crysis 2 sp as the ai is shocking and the guns are rubbish , but the mp has potential in my eyes if they sort it out.

Story svcked in this and kz3 in my eyes but the feel of weapons and ai was infinitely better in kz3 . MP was great too in my eyes in kz3 and hit detection was solid unlike this.
I could really enjoy this if they sort out mp, but as it is it's just ok at best
