Brotherhood Patrols : Fallout: New Vegas

**WARNING! POSSIBLE SPOILERS**

So I've completed Still in the Dark, and Eyesight to the Blind and McNamara is in power. He said he would lift the lockdown and on Radio New Vegas they said something about "dark figures moving about Hidden Valley after dark." But I haven't seen any of the Brotherhood patrolling the Mojave at all.
Also whenever I ask Elder McNamara about the lockdown, he tells me about it as if it were still in effect and shows no signs that it has been lifted.

Do they actually go out on patrols throughout the wasteland?

i'm personally thinking it doesn't make any damn blind bit of difference

which is why NV is so lame, once somethings done, its done, nothing comes of it but a bit of experience in the xp bar and then on to the next quest

I think the only living Brotherhood members I've seen outside their bunker is in Hidden Valley at night, within the sandstorm. That's about it.

On wiki there is some mention of you and veronica bumping in to them and having a hostile disposition to veronica when out and about, however the T&C for this is unknown to me and i havent seen them outside of the bunker despite playing through twice... so we need someone else (one of those on here who knows everything) to clear this up!

I've only seen them outside of the bunker as the quest corpses/ scouts or when they tell you they dont like you or V and try to assasinate you

I've seen a patrol once. I posted about it and was told they were usually around after midnight. They showed up after 4am but only after I fast travelled from hidden valley to hidden valley. If you do run into these guys you need to be careful if you intend doing any of the bos quests.

(yes, i have only seen brotherhood patrols outside of hidden valley myself, maybe the latest patch fixed things, maybe not, we will see......)

During my Mr. House playthrough, after I set the bunker to self destruct, I saw three BOS (possibly palladins) on my way out. I had a stealth boy on so I didn't get shot.

(besides in Hidden Valley, i could have sworn i thought i saw them on one of the roads east of hidden valley, i could be wrong, as i was preparing to fast travel, and it could have been an NCR patrol as well, and i was tired at the time.)

Hadn't had any prior BoS contact on that playthrough. Happened around 3:40 am.

edit: They're hostile if you haven't spoken to McNamara, or have Veronica with you I assume.

I met them before I even knew there was BoS in NV. I wander around in the sandstorm and pewpewpewpewpewpewpew a gatling laser from nowhere, it was sorta early in the game (not very but still) and I had to flee with them close on my tail. Came back later expecting a battle and realized that it was BoS and they had quests

Well there are the night patrols before the lockdown is lifted, there's Veronica's side quest BUT there's also a big patrol that goes out during the day exactly once, directly after the lockdown is lifted.

Also if you ally the Brotherhood with the NCR you'll get a slide of them patrolling the highway after the battle of hoover dam (where they are also present, although that's hardly a patrol)

SO the vote is cast then, not enough BoS after the lockdown is lifted, virtually none, and it would seem the majoirty of people would like more of a BoS presence around the whole mojave? me too! dammit... this game was a premature birth! pushed out before it was damn ready...

Don't forget though that the Mohave was a tiny sector, even then most died at helios. They're numbers aren't exactly swelling

Theres plenty of them crammed into that little bunker though, enough to hold a base the size of camp mccarran for example, and with a union between them and the NCR, and a change in their ways, I believe they could thrive once more
