I wasn't a huge fan of the Legion characters, personally, but that's just me.

I really liked how the BoS was written in FONV, it was very well done, pretty believable, and presented a nice contrast to the Lyons BoS of Fallout 3.

Really? I liked the Legion characters a lot, especially Canyon Runner.

Yup, they just didn't do much for me personally.

Wait what?! F3 was exciting?! Well butter my butt and call me a biscuit! I've been wrong all this time calling F3 a droll boring unimaginative mass.

Remember, to each his own. I found FO3 to have more than its fair share of exciting moments.

I also want to thank Obsidian for the companions; while I liked FO3's companions, FONV's were amazing. Each one of them was believable and genuine, and some had truly moving backstories and character arcs; Boone and Veronica come to mind especially, respectively.

Yep NV had some great dialogue and solid voice acting to match, very much appreciate the depth that went into it !

I love No-Bark and Roni :D There are plenty more memorable characters in the game too which really made NV something special.

So a big Cheers writing people and voice talent, well done :foodndrink:

I know this is a small thread, and we've had plenty of 'Thank you' Threads, but I want to aim this specifically at Obsidians writers. I enjoyed all the dialogue, I especially enjoy how Mr. House, Caesar, and Yes-Man have such well written faction representatives. How clever some of the Dialogue trees were. Also, I really enjoyed the Main Quests dialogue and storyline. I feel the writers all deserve particular praise, since a game is the very same as a movie, meaning that it's the dialogue and story that sell the game off.

I know there are som nay sayers out here, but anyone is entitled to express their opinion, but I discourage it in this thread since this is a praise thread, not a hate thread.

Right on CM

My only want is a dev tutorial on the conversation editor for the GECK simple conversations are easy to make but the long complicated ones.... well I need some help.

I think it does apply to the majority of PS3 users actually.

I agree with Mako, I play on my ancient 40 GB PS3, and the worst I get are freezes once in a while, or when I go on marathons. Seriously. Stop trying to say the majority of PS3 users had problems. Alot may have had problems, but just many are having as little issues as Mako and I.

I have both PS3 and PC, but none of them have mayor issues

Seriously, stop saying that all of us PS3 users have the same problem

It's fine Gabriel. Auld if you want, take this to PM and out of my thread :l

@Gabes previous post- That's how I felt about Arcade and Raul. Raul's story is just depressing and heart touching. I also wonder if we ever find out about Arcades father in a future DLC (I sure hope we find out)

I agree that the writing for New Vegas was great. The story and characters weren't nearly as interesting in Fallout 3.

And IMO Dead Money had even better writing and great storyline too. The best storyline i've ever seen in a DLC. Keep up the good work :goodjob:

I don't buy Fallout for the gameplay. I buy it for the story, concept and immersion. The story and dialogue more than makes up for the bugs and glitches.

I like how all of the companions seemed like actual people (well, not ED-E and Rex)

Love the games, keep on going

I agree the writers deserve praise. They did a great job with the writing.

However, I disagree with a game being like a movie and the dialog and story being the selling point. Not in my book. I play games because of how much fun they are to play. Story is secondary for me. If I want good dialog and story I'll just watch a movie. ;)

Well, my feeling about that is I enjoy an interactive plot, like when you first play New Vegas or Bioshock, you don't know how the stories going to unravel, and you can't wait to see it unravel.

Good advice. I have cleaned out goodness knows how many off topic posts from this thread, so .............. you either say thanks to the writers or you don't post in this topic, there are other threads for the complainers - and I am sure you know where they are.
