Bring back Crysis 1 multiplayer guns and play style

Post » Thu Aug 27, 2009 12:53 am
Thats the whole idea...to bring the Crysis 1 game style back and not turn into 1 hit kill like the other games out there. We dont want a new game we want to keep our crysis.
Luckily we still have Crysis, and it's not going anywhere, so we're fine. If Crytek have made the right decisions with Crysis 2, we'll be able to mod all of Crysis' features in to it, or if that doesn't happen then Crysis itself will survive.
At no point at all did I mention removing the option of 'hardcoe' modes (or whatever makes you feel more pro). These are fine.
Good, so we're getting both casual and hardcoe modes. It's sorted then.

Discussion over - Crytek are catering for players of all skill levels and we can now be satisfied in the knowledge that Crysis 2 will be a success.

I believe a good balance is the key to a good game and if crytek's realized it and made crysis 2 that way, then we should all be fine. All games coming out these days (fps ones) are the same thing, with the same gameplay, same game modes and so on, so if they don't do a good job with c2, those who usually play a game for 3 hours and get bored of it will just leave it and those who didn't like the game will stay on the old crysis, the developer's reputation would be ruined and they'd try to fix it like they did by releasing Crysis Wars. Hopefully that won't happen and I think they've already learned from past mistakes, so I'm expecting a good game here...

Doesn't look appealing on Multiplayer.

They removed incediary amo and gauss one shot kill and killing players with 1 sniper shot when they were in cloak, speed or strenght! And so many things that shouldn't be removed! THEY CAN'T DO THAT!

That is why Crysis Wars failed :(

Crysis 1 multiplayer was one of the best multiplayer games ever!

It's funny because, if Crytek would use the same formula for C2 as they did for Crysis and Wars, it's bound to suffer the same fate as them.

I want new stuff, for the old stuff you already have Crysis 1. Why would you buy a new game with no changes in Multiplayer gameplay?

@Cry Ruan. Re: your comment, >>What I was arguing against was the fact that 'pros' seem to believe that games should be made to cater for them, as well as the whole 'if newbies don't get it, they're clearly too stupid' argument that seems to pop up. It's this sort of thing that makes it rather hard to sympathise with the requests of the subcommunity in question.<< I cpmletely agree, because, we get a game, to play ain what ever strategy we want to, this is why multiplayer exists, so that groups of like minded people, can incorparate thier skills in battle, within thier gametype, the actual game itself is no less equal to multiplay. and everybody should be able to enjoy the game at what ever level. even if, like me, for a change, decide to take a tank from onslaught, for a joy ride so far up the mountain side, that you cant even identify, the tanks below, lmao. I hope everyone can enjoy the new game in whatever way they deem fit, and impartially so. :D

Regarding the Tank adventure, in any other level, if I stray too far out of the battle zone i get the warning to return, but not with the tank, and I was right at the foot of the last impossible peak, with no warning, ?? well anyway it was fun for a change lol.:D

Yes I know theres a quote button, but i was reducing the size of the post as a whole, thus trying to keep things as simple as possible, i hope that isnt a problem

It's okay, but the opposite happens and your post will just be an unstructured mess. That's why there's a quote function.

@Blahblah, i was trying to read some of the very longwinded posts, that went on for ever, and I personally cant see a problem with applying the essence of someones post, to make my own view and point, i dont see unstructured in my post, I took his point and made my point, Simple!! but thanks for the lesson anyway, and i will try to remember
