How OCD are you?

Post » Thu Aug 27, 2009 2:43 pm

I start collecting absolutely everything to get a few caps to spend in Goodsprings but by the time I get to Primm I'm ignoring everything with less than a 1wg/4 cap ratio and once I get to level 20 or so it's pretty much nothing under 1/10.

But I still collect and collect and collect. Oh look a 9mm, never mind I've already got 15 I don't use, I've got to pick it up. Armour? I use reinforced leather, space/radiation suits and the occasional specialist garb but have a wardrobe full of power armour that I won't wear but I've still gotta have it.

Even when I'm really disciplined and sell as much as I can as soon as I get it, I could still stick a Walmart sign outside my safehouse eventually and yet I never stop collecting.

How about you?

I'd have to admit that description is very familiar but I'm getting better. Pipi will eventually have Jury Rigging so filling the Safe House locker with multiple weapons for future repairs seems prudent but I'm sure I have more than necessary. I do end up carrying far too much of the food I find to restore health that doesn't go down as much. The lockers are overflowing...sale tomorrow at 10am. :)

I'm the same, i start off collecting everything at first just to sale it and scraqe together caps, then i only stasrt getting thins with a weight of 1 and worth 5caps, then it goes up to only worth ten caps, then the weight goes up...

I collect everything, not only do i not like to waste any low level weapons and armour, but it can be sold or stored in a wardrobe/locker/box for jury rigging purposes. Jean sky diving is amazing for that at first, then i expanded to the lucky 38.

I have an OCD with how things are grouped in storage, where my weapons are hotkeyed, how myself and my companions look, are equipped and how we fight, and how i treat most characters in the game!

I always have to keep 100% health, I always have to gather as much money as possible, yet never spend any. I always try to sell things to make up for my loss in caps, those kind of things get on my nerves. And my gear always has to be 100% too, I'm a perfectionist really.

I take any misc item that is 5 caps or more, and that is less than 3 pounds. I don't take beginner weapons, like 9mm Pistol or .357 Magnum. I only take weapons that cost 500 caps or more. I take ALL the uniques I find and store them, no matter what. Right now I have about 80 something weapons in my locker....maybe more.

I'm pretty pragmatic with my looting. Guns and ammo i pick up for repairing and selling, weapon repair kit parts always come with me, high quality food, drinks and purified water is never left behind, but everything else that has weight i ignore.

Now that i finished Dead Money i don't loot anything for selling, cause i'm stinking, illegally rich! :celebration:

I'm very OCD. I hate seeing my stuff dip below the threshold, suffering any ill effects from hunter and thirst, I hate using chems because I do not want to get addicted, I don't want a loss in Caravan, and much more stuff. Any items I collect MUST be at 100% condition.

I also compartmentalize the swag in my Novac home. Weapons in the closet, armor in the drawers, unique items in the safe, cloths in the wardrobe, spare ammo in the suitcase, and fireplace/workbench stuff in the lockbox in front of the bed.

I do the same, guns and ammo (and the gold, naturally) in the safe, misc items in the footlocker, armor and outfits in the cabinet, food and drinks in the fridge, and spare medical supplies in the first-aid kit. Also i collect the empty bottles from the bathroom and put them in the trash can :D Now if i only could clean those bloodstains...

Me too, except I don't pick up junk, unless its pre-war money. I mean I still pickup weapons, repair them and sell them even with 80k caps.

In the beginning, yeah. I was collecting anything and everything under the sun. That was so very time-consuming and it took a toll on my weight-load very quickly, so I started to only collect things that were weightless, but held moderate value. Much easier I assure you!

I collect ANYTHING that can eventually be used to craft... including tin cans, which is rather embarrassing. Especially 'cause I won't touch bent ones, just the regular version. Probably have hundreds of the stashed around, seems to be one of the mot common 'junk' items.

I could build a looooooot of powder charges.

Just like in my FO3 days (with FWE) i'd collect everything, most especially stuff for crafting. Unfortunately most of the same stuff has no use but i still collect it.
My most prized possessions are my triangles and intact garden gnomes. They're super rare in NV :D

I am never addicted.
I am never thirsty.
I am never hungry,
I am never sleepy.
I am never in poor condition.
And my ammo count is always a multiple of the weapons magazine size.

I am terribly OCD.

I collect everything it's how I know that I have been there. All the weapons and armor come with me. Everything else gets shoved into some random trashcan, locker or handy body. I also sort things out at my house in Novac. Magazines in the desk, rare items in the safe and misc junk into the foot locker. Food and drinks in the fridge, armor and such into the chest and guns into the cabinet.

Yup. I'm the same way. I started collecting Sunset Sasparillas and Nuka Colas because after FO3 I was so conditioned to collect them and not use them that now I have almost 400 SS and 200 Nuka Colas and even though I know they are completely useless I don't drink them and still find myself picking them up. I won't sell them either.

I'm still on my first play through as well and even though I'm now level 28 and in DM I'm still picking everything up either in DM or in the Mojave. My character is always over-encumbered. Even when I say to myself, "I don't need it." I still pick it up. I have tons of weapons I still carry around but don't use.

On my next play through I'm picking only a few items and I'm gonna stick with it.
