Please give us Remote Play

Post » Fri Aug 28, 2009 4:10 pm

I am very much enjoying Fallout New Vegas and also enjoyed Fallout 3. I enjoy it so much I wish that Bethesda would make remote play of the game possible and give us optional control layout that we could configure. I really would enjoy playing this full experience on my PSP on the go. The infrastructure is there for remote play, it just needs a little work to make it possible. What do you guys think? Should they enable remote play for Fallout New Vegas?

Well, the controls would be kind of whack and I can't see how the PSPs could support a game like Fallout New Vegas.

No i just dont see how that would work out. It would have to make them to spend more time on the game when there already working on others.

I think he is talking about handheld Fallout New Vegas, like on the PSP or something. His post has "PSP" in it.

That's what I was saying, the PSP could not support a game as big as Fallout New Vegas, you would have to wait for the NGP, which is the PSP 2, which has 2 anologs, 2 shoulder buttons, 2 touch pads, and a compassitive touch screen along with all the other things the regular PSP has. So the NGP might work.

Well, they made Zombies for COD 5 work so I think they could somehow make it work. But considering that the X-Box alone has so many glitches than the PSP would probably be no good...

Well, Fallout: New Vegas is much bigger and would take much more space than Nazi Zombies. But it would work if they release something called Fallout New Vegas: 2nd Battle of Hoover Dam. It would be short though. They could make something much longer than Fallout New Vegas: 2nd Battle of Hoover Dam.

Yah but i still dont see it amusing me like the primary game does. it would probably lack alot of stuff that you enjoy thats on the game console.

It is if you install the game to your hard drive, which takes up about 5GB or 5000MB

Guys, he means controlling the game with the PSP while the PS3 does the processing. Use google before making assumptions.

I say if they make handheld, it better be a traditional isometric turn base RPG.

Do games get patches on the PSP? I've never had one, so its unlikely that Fallout will make a good PSP game

Theres no real reason why it can't go portable, yes the map will have to be a bit smaller and the graphics will have to be turned down. Also, theres less buttons on the PSP, so that might cause some problems (theres no secondary trigger, but you only really use L1 and R2 anyway).

For DS, the bottom screen would have to be the map and maybe aim/move camera (if you draw out weapon). Also, it could make mini games (lockpicking/hacking/repairing) a bit more interactive.

I wish Bethesda would make remote play for these games because even such as the Xperia Play is going to be released soon and hopefully that will give a good remote play experience. Also I hope future Bethesda games would work remote play features in so even when PSP2 (NGP) comes out, we could take even more advantage of them. It would also be cool if Bethesda and Sony worked on the idea of letting us convert games to the NGP format so we get the full experience of these awesome games anywhere. That would be stellar!

If they could successfuly port Fallout:New Vegas without altering any of its core gameplay, I would be utterly surprised and shocked.
