I Can't Be The Only One Here That Likes Warhammer 40,000...

Anyone else big into the series?

I've never played any of the games or the tabletop but I'm big into the lore and books.

The Emperor demands you get your ass to the nearest store and buy and play DoW1. Vanilla. For the glory of the Imperium!

Also, why are there Monoliths behind those k Sons?

Those are Ultramarines, and I had to crop and down size the image a ****-ton just so the site would allow it :(

Well, you're the only one who likes Warhammer 40k. I have DoW1 though I haven't installed it to my new computer. I have played few tabletop matches, but it has been few years ago. I'm working on Zombie Imperial Guard army, about 25% has been done. I'm though really bad at painting human faces, which is why I won't upload pictures of the army to show you.

BTW, got to hate how miniatures of 'evil' races have so many spikes. This is just a little example how many spikes they have:

I missed the Banner, and the guy's shoulderplate, my bad. They still look an awful lot like k Sons in that picture though... Despite lacking the headdresses of Rubic Marines, and the CO having the centurion-thingy on his helmet.

Started playing the campaign with a mate... couldn't get into it. Didn't find it engaging/interesting at all.

Yeah, the RTS games are kinda boring, the franchise's main strength and attractin is it's setting and the tabletop. Let's hope the up-coming Space Marine game will change that.

I've played a bunch of the original DoW series; dark crusade being my favorite. I dislike how DoW2 uses an extremely different RTS style so I never got into it.
