Alright. I'm on a 360. I go to the scrapyard to go get Dogmeat for the first time, and he's not there. Then I get Broken Steel, get the Puppies! perk, thinking maybe he's dead, but I can't find him anywhere, I even checked vault 101 thinking maybe he ended up there......so what's up??? :brokencomputer:

I did some research for this and I really can't come up with anything :shrug:

Someone said that if you were to accept another companion he would disappear but I don't think that is true.

Do you remember anything that told you he was dead?

It was a while ago when I first went to the scrapyard, and I don't think i remember any pop-ups saying that he died. Idk. I got him on my other account though.

He might of been killed by the raiders and I don't think you would've gotten a message indicating that he was dead because he hadn't joined forces with you.

There was another thread where someone said he just ran by the scrapyard and after several hours gameplay Dogmeat met him in Point Lookout. It was determined that Dogmeat had killed the raiders and his script started making him try to come to the player but because the player didn't stop and most likely fast traveled, dogmeat had to run all over the place until finally catching up. Maybe if you go outside Megaton or somewhere else easy to get to and wait a few in game days worth of time he might show up, although he could be dead trying to find you also. This may not work but it is orth a shot.
