Well, on this forum i see moderators locking threads regarding the demo for the PC. And i remembered the bioware forum, when a possible demo for the game dragon age 2, will be released. The people there started threads about the demo for the pc, and the mods locked up all the threads, and saying "until we will have a announcement date for the demo, stop starting threads about the demo' in this case the demo for the PC. In this forum it's the same strange thing, mods locking up threads about the pc demo topic. Well, that makes sense EA ( bioware pc demo) = EA (crysis 2 demo) = the same mod acts, closing threads on the demo. topic. Bleah...

The reason why the locked the pc demo thread in the first place was because it had 170 pages of pure spam. I think they are locking all the other threads about the pc demo because they are afraid that it will turn into another spam fest.
I have no idea why they did that in the Dragon Age 2 forums thou.

The mods here don't like the fact that they can't give a reason why everything is only for the XBox. I'm sure this thread will be closed too.

I know, it will be closed, and yes in that pc demo thread, with 170 pages was very much spam. I think with some luck next week we will have a release date. I am not buying the game, for seeing only a couple of multiplayer on youtube, and that on xbox. No !

I thought it was made fairly obvious why the thread was locked: "Until we announce a date then it will just be off topic spam time killing."

Multiple warnings and bans were issued because people kept disobeying the forum rules. Plain and simple, if people can't play by the rules then the playground is closed. If people are just going to spam the thread in order to bide time then there is no valid reason to keep the thread open, hence the announcement thread was closed.

If it gets spammed then it also gets closed. The reason it remains open whilst the second was closed was exactly that, the second was a duplicate thread.
