The Hidden Plot

Post » Sun Sep 20, 2009 3:39 pm

Okay so this fabeled hidden plot for FNV has been out in the open for awhile now and i have been racking my brain trying to find the hidden peices to this puzzle that the developers so deviously hide in the game. I know i am not the only one who is intrested in the games hidden plot so i made this topic to disscuse our findings and see if we cant get some idea on what the developers are trying to surprize us with namely the for mentioned final epic battle between our chareters(Courier 6) and Ulysses. Aside from his name we know next to nothing about Ulysses even fallout wika cant tell us much of what we allready know we are still in the dark on this.

To start this of with there are small if not dame near invesible hints at Courier 6's past dealings and travels....who is to say we havent come across some directed at Ulysses as well for instans when you meet The Lonsome Drifter he states he first started traviling to find his father when i thought about it a sec i thought well hes is an african american man and Ulysses is an african american man...(the guy has dreds and really dark skin in the only pic we have of him alright) granted i know the lonesome drifter is like what late 20's early 30's or something but there is not an exact age put on Ulysses or the Courier (at least to my knowlage) keep in mind this is just a wild speculation on my part just something for you guys to think on i am open to your rants and opinions....(please dont kill me)...lets just have fun with this and slove the puzzle.

I am completely confused....I literally have no idea what anything of what you just said means. The courier 6 is me right? And Ulysses is Ulysses S. Grant...right.... And if so how is the lonesome drifter involved in this....He's the guy with the guitar....right? And I don't think the Lonesome Drifter and the Mysterious Stranger have anything to do with each other. I also thought that the Mysterious Stranger was a gun.....

-Courier 6 = You
-Ulysses was a companion that for some reason was removed and is expected to return in a future DLC you can see what he looks like on one of the cards that came with the CE.
-Mysterious Stranger is seen when you take the perk with the same name.
-Mysterious Magnum is the gun the Lonesome Drifter uses.
-Mysterious Stranger was implied to be the Lonesome Drifters father has he states his father was very mysterious.

The drifter is strongly implied to be the son of the Mysterious Stranger (yes you can kill him with the mysterious stranger, yes it is mean).

For the first time I found the Courier 6 references to the west of Primm, never been there before, the blocked pass place? That was weird, I don't have Dead Money yet, so I don't know if it's explained but can anyone elaborate as to the meaning of the writing there? How do they know of Courier 6? Who knows? Why is it important? Why is it THERE of all places?

No idea don't have Dead Money either so can't speak for that, but the guy in Primm says you were Courier Six and a guy that had the job of delivering the chip before you turned it down. That's about all I know.

The Courier is Courier 6, Ulysses is "Courier 7", the speculation is that he put the "6" on the wreckage as a sign for you, I believe that place will be the entrance to a future DLC.

Okay i missed that part one the lonesome drifter being the strangers son (even if he dose look younger than him) but like i said wild speculation on my part.....okay what abouy the posability that Ulysses is working with The Legion i mean for a guy that weres the old world flag on his back and who quots on his card "The day i set my flag down, it'll be over my body or over a nation i believe in" working with The Legion is a bit......out of charecter i think assuming that is his charecter of corse....what are youre thoughts on this matter?

this, and with all the spoilers in Dead money, id wager courier 7 is the same that "passed" on the platnum chip job. its set up as there was a history between 6 and 7, and that some time in the future there will be an epic battle between the 2.

im gonna go out on a limb and assume that 7 was actually on benny's payroll, and given his history with 6, decided to let benny take care of you.

"sorry you got mixed up in all this kid."

it was foreshadowing in dead money by one of you companions Christina about second courier visiting sierra Madre and in hopes they will cross paths in future. i posted earlier question of a statement about second courier, i was not sure if i missed the story trough the game play, i was hoping for more info about it :)

I decided to evive this thread because it's the only thing that still interests me in New Vegas, the guy in Primm told you about some other Courier who refused the job as soon as he saw your name, that and the foreshadowing from Dead Money leads me to believe that there'll be a story of the Courier and Ulysses in a futre DLC.
