For those of us who play on consoles....

Post » Thu Sep 24, 2009 3:05 pm

I want to know who plans on getting this for a console, like myself. Also what you guys think about the debate between pc's and consoles with this game, and why you want this game. I want it because of its less linear take on combat, the nanosuit, and the destruction.

Please try to keep this disscusion civil. It's merely a disscusion after all.

Since my pc broke i've been playing on my ps3 and i bought crysis since you can mod on the pc and endless hours of fun. Since you cant really mod on a console the storyline will get boring with just the same thing. I have all the crysis games and i still played crysis 1 after uhm until my pc broke

ive played crysis1 and granted it didnt look so great since i played it on my lappy i enjoyed it. i played through loads of times doing different things or just blowing stuff up without mods, but yes pc gamers are lucky to have mods although its nice that all versions will have an editor which will add more fun to the game.

I want to get it on the PS3 for the trophies and to play with my friends, but that's about it. The PC version will have way better graphics, better save system, better controls, 32 players online, Sandbox editor, mods, and free maps.

I had so much fun with the first 2 games. I'm curious how the city will work out though. Everything that you could do in the jungle probably will be gone.

I'll probably get this on PS3, since my PC could probably only run the game on low settings when it comes out.

Well finally I will get more quality PC crysis time on my own, as my son wont be bugging me now he will be getting it for his console. he thinnks its a fantastic move on Cryteks part and I agree, also we have never been competative of our respective platforms, we both share and enjoy our gaming and platforms, and we both love Crysis, I prefer to blow stuff up in any way possible, and some quality sniping, so the increase to destruction will appeal to me, My some tends to have a random gamestyle and just wants to play this Finally, on console. we both think the debate on platforms does not serve any posative function, but yes some ppl have some great setups, no doubt, but we are sure that most ppl will really enjoy the new game. :D

i could imagine getting it for my 360 because of xboxlive multiplayer = way smoother experience than pc multiplayer (years of css and bf2 and i have a good connection). but the graphics are going to be light years ahead on my pc and i NEED sandbox 3, im still creating maps in SB2 til this day.

I'm getting this for both PC and PS3.

I'm getting it firstly for PS3, I know alot of friends who have a PS3, and will most likely consider this game.

I'm going to get it later for PC, hopefully by then I can see if the modding scene has evolved, which it will most likely have. But I'll need a good PC to run, since this current PC is not up to gaming standards at the moment.

I'll get it on 360 if they but a map editor in it like Far Cry, and PC if they don't. I hope they do because I don't want to have to learn how to use this darn CE3 sandbox. They youtube how-to's are painfully ineffective. Maybe I can get a mentor from the Crymod community? :D This is the only map I have on youtube, someone else posted it. I worked on it with 3 other guys. I did all the Terrain, Game play and Layout.

I plan getting it for both PC and 360. 360 for the fact my computer MIGHT not be able to run it. PC for the fact that maybe the same guys who gave us the TripleC mod for Crysis will pull together and do it again if it calls for it.

Im getting it for the xbox. This game has the potential to be game of the year, if not game of the decade! Unless they bring out a crysis 3 or 4.

I'll get this game if it has the same graphics ability as CE2 ( which has not yet been proven ), can push a lot more FPS than CE2, and can have the maps from Wars ported over to it.

If any of those fail, I'll probably just stick with Wars. Nothing buy city maps = FAIL.

You haven't even played it, jeez. How can you criticise this game when you haven't even played it?!

FYI, the engine is no different to CE2, you'll most likely get the same quality CE2 brings, only with a few optimizations which should, hopefully, increase some FPS.

Perhaps you should stop being negative and be positive, I can't see them even dumbing it down when they haven't at all.
