Crysis 2 applies a form of shader-based anti-aliasing. Enabling a higher detail level increases shader quality, water detail, motion blur, particle effects, particle effect density, lighting effects, and texture quality, and on hardcoe, dust effects are richer, giving the battlefield an overall grittier feel.
