And on that note, I'd like to make a suggestion; though it's a bit of work, I think it'd add to the polish and "immersiveness" of it all. Perhaps you could have someone do voiceovers for some of the commands. Say you have call in some troops via Vertibird, you might hear, over a crackling radio signal of relatively poor quality, "Copy that, commander. Strike team inbound on intercept vector." Or, say, you order a Vertibird to do a strafing run on a target, you hear, "Rodger that. Vertibird enroute; all weapons free." You get the point. The fact that, since it's going to be over a radio; you wouldn't exactly have to find somebody with studio-quality microphone equipment; good voice acting and post-processing could overcome any equipment limitation due to the intentional "over the air" sound of it. I envision it being kind of like the radio-voices you hear when you issue units in the Homeworld games; calm and professional, which is how I've always viewed the Enclave as ultimately being.
I think little things like that would add to the already considerable immersion your mod provides. Kind of give some "life" to those folks you're ordering around, to make it feel even more like you're commanding an organization with (comparable to the rest of the Wasteland) massive resources and manpower.
