Hi, I have Crysis Warhead installed but am unable to play it because of the DRM. Over the years it has been released, I've had to uninstall and reinstall for unrelated reasons. When I asked on another forum, I was directed to the de-authorization tool located here. http://activate.ea.com/deauthorize/.

When I tried the tool, it gave me this error.



What does it mean that I have no authorizations on my computer? The copy I have is a legit copy. It is in no way a pirated version.

try http://support.ea.com/ I had the same issue and they helped. Go to their online chat.

That is exactly why I hate these sorts of DRM.
Crysis 2 was planned to get the same DRM (connection required for authorization) but I hope that they changed that after the leak. It will only buzz the legal buyer.

Crysis Warhead had only 3 or 5 activations if i remember correctly. If you used up all 5 activations before running the de-authorization tool then that's why you are having issues. Not many were aware of this issue at release, well i wasn't and i used up all activations because i forgot three times when i did fresh installs of windows and on two occasions i had graphics ati driver stuck in constant loops causing bsod so was forced to re-install windows and was not able to de-authorize machine. Some games have the de-authorization method if you right click on the icon in vista or 7's game explorer and are able to de-authorize your game/machine that way but Warhead had no official method on release. I got fed up of contacting EA with regards to this so purchased Crysis Maximum edition for ￡10.
