Just wanted to say, thanks to the people who mod this forum.

I've noticed one thing about it. The usual psycho's who inhabit the other forums, and do nothing but try to pick multiple fights with anyone they can, don't appear to be here.

Probably, because they have been banned, or know they will be banned quickly enough if they came here.

So once again, kudo's to the mods for keeping the place in a pleasant form of debate. Please keep it up.

One fan site forum, which I shall not name, sure shows what happens when the mods are never around - total free for all.

Think I'm just going to stick to here from now on.

Nah, we got it good here. Try InCrysis sometime. There's a couple people (fanboy's) on there who seem to sit on the forum all day long ( not even sure they sleep ), and seem only to be interested in picking a fight with anyone they don't like. If you try to debate about something you don't quite agree with in Crysis 2, you are instantly jumped on by them. So beware if you go there. I've realized, if someone has over 5000 posts, and a bad attitude, they are a most likely a professional troll.

And this whole problem is caused by a severe lack of mods. We got mods here and they seem to be pretty neutral. I don't care much for the structure of the forums, but I think I've about given up on Incrysis. You can no longer debate there without getting personally attacked over and over.

I visit InCrysis once in a while, but I don't post at all. If you think the elitism is bad here, think again... :O

To be honest, Crytek has always been the best to their community and the community is great as well. Just some frustrations here and there, but Crytek certainly has a better presence on their forums than other companies. That is partially why I stick with Crytek. Their games certainly have some problems, but they do try... As long as Crytek always pushes forward innovation and technology, while staying on top of issues, I will be a fan. They just really need to work on patching...

I mean, if your looking for ALL OUT WAR with people, that's the place to go. No mods, and total flame wars.

I think its quite well sorted here, I know that theres a presence, that is tolerant to a point, but I know if something real bad happens it gets removed, while there are bound to be the occasional tiffs and spats, these things usually sort themselves out, Blatant abuse, anf foul language is basically not tolerated, Good Stuff in my book.

I think it's funny you think that would make a difference as to whether or not someone would comment . Having a presence (beyond PR) on the forum certainly benefits them, but even if that weren't the case mods would still exist and moderate the forums as they see fit.

Yeah, I'm Mouse on there. And "moderating the forums as they see fit" is why I like it here on gamesas. The mods do a great job of keeping the peace. A nice break from the eternal flame wars of InCrysis. The mods there never seem to be around to stop them, or they just don't care. Probably the only reason RTS showed up is because I PM'ed for a mod to stop it all. I give it a few days before the next 20 page war breaks out there.

So lets not bring those wars here.

I can't joke too? lame.

Incrysis probably operates a more loose forum as it helps retain forum membership, which is important to a site like that (though obviously there are those who would be turned off by such things.) It's not too surprising to see that with a fan site vs. official forums/site. Certainly gamesas operates under different auspices, wants to project a certain image, and keep a modicum of professionalism and responsibility, Incrysis doesn't need to worry about anything like that, unless they want to. (Which isn't to say they shouldn't, but undoubtedly they don't have the resources gamesas does - or they aren't willing to commit them, my guess is somewhere in between.)

The console wars on InCrysis are quite funny. Doombringer should be banned.

I don't post there because of all the arguing that goes on. I only visit that website because they are very good for keeping on top of Crysis 2 news, sometimes days before Crytek themselves upload the videos to gamesas and CryMod.

Yeah, I have to admit, they surpass gamesas information wise.

Which is kind of Strange...
