Orbital Strike .... issue?

Post » Sat Oct 31, 2009 9:46 am

When I am in cover that is also over my head the orbital strike is still able to damage me, now in my opinion it seems unfair, and it makes the orbital strike one of those "Match Winners".

I don't expect the game to adapt to my needs but I at least want the game to be a bit fairer and give me a chance to get away from the orbital strike.

Has anyone else had this issue?

well , blaim yourself or your team mate s for dying so much and give the other team the chance to even get that orbital beam , if it wasn t able to pierce thru bulldings etc etc it would be way too weak so it would be a useless killstreak then.

sorry...

greetings Quazium.

Yeah, dude that pisses me off also, I think crytek should fix that problem, I lost a match beacuse i got hit with an orbital strike but I was under the roof. It's very unfair.

Maybe it's like Black Ops where some killstreaks go through cover depending on the thickness/durability of it. I don't know for sure, this is just a guess.

And yet somehow, there's not a giant hole in the ceiling when the Orbital Strike leaves. Odd.

Yeah, I think the previously mentioned occurrence needs fixed.

Is it just me who think it's very easy to run away from it? When the warning comes just run in a direction and see if it follows. If your unlucky it will still hit you. This is not an issue and I promise you guys that Crytec wont change it.

Same here, rarely get killed by orbital strikes unless they are placed in right in my face (and my busy doing other things than listening to the warning saying 'orbital strike on your location' or something like that). I think all 'killstreaks' are fairly weak in Crysis 2 (and that is a good thing) apart from the radar that is an utter goldmine.

Well ****, if the orbital strike of that magnitude in game existed in real life, then the buildings should actually vaporize and trenches be dug. Quit whining. Get your streak up so you can use it to your advantage.

Run perpendicular of the direction of its travel.
