several times i've tossed a grenade, i've seen it leave my hand, when i'm about to get shot. the nade seems to disappear when i die, however. anyone else notice this?

Are you sure it disappeared? I've killed people with grenades after I get killed. Can also be lag causing you not to see the explotion...

perhaps it's the lag, i'm always in crash site throwing nades at the pods and crowds of enemies but i don't seem to even get assists when i die. perhaps it's just not notifying me because i'm dead? it's happened a few times.

Just keep track of you kills. But I don't think the game steals a kill from you... Though I think the assist kill sometime is far off. I promise you I'm a bigger fan! Can't stop playing

it happens in most games because of lag.. although it shows in your screen that you have tossed your grenade, the server wouldn't have registered it..

but this should happen only if you get killed within a second of throwing your grenade.. i have thrown grenades, gotten shot and killed, and still got kills with the grenade i had thrown..

if you throw one clearly then get killed they should explode, but if you in the middle of cooking one and die then they disappear. that part is really annoying and i hope it gets changed.

I recently threw a grenade, got killed and then got a "double." I have had instances where a grenade seemingly disappeared. With armor activated grenades are not always fatal...
