Anyway, this is the place to speculate on what would have happened if Benny had killed the Courier in Goodsprings.

Presumably the next stage would pan out in the same way, escaping back to the Tops with the Platinum Chip. However, there's a problem next. Benny needs to kill House, but he can't do that without getting into the Lucky 38, which is impossible. However, since Mr House must know that Benny was responsible and has the Chip, he'd have to find a way of taking it without upsetting the status quo on the Strip. I'm thinking possibly mercenaries or assassins. Alternatively, he could work with Swank to get to Benny and retrieve the Chip. That done, he could upgrade his Securitrons, but he needs to find a way to activate the army in the vault. Without either the Courier or Benny around, he'd probably fail. Consequently, Legion victory at the dam, and Vegas falls.

Umm you already answered the question for yourself. The courier should have died...HE GOT SHOT IN THE HEAD.

He meant; what would've happened to the Mojave/New Vegas.

But you wouldnt know what would happen since the events never would occur since you could not control the courier. So therefore its really all opinions.

For clarification, this is indeed what I meant, as evidenced by my theory in the OP regarding this very issue.

Opinions arent pointless to me. Its when people ignore them and are just ignorant then it doenst matter anymore.

mr. house and benny would be locked in an evertwisting conflict, benny cant kill house, and house cant get the chip (all benny has to do is point a pistol at it)
