I know that the silencer is supposed to let you remain cloaked while shooting, but my cloak drains immediately when I fire even one silenced bullet from the SMG. Is this because my Stealth Enhance is at level 1?

You can't shoot out of cloak, if you see someone shooting out of cloak and it doesn't drain his energy to zero, that guy is a hacker. A silencer just silences the weapon. Nothing more.

I think he's confused because in the campaign using a silencer means you can shoot from cloak. In MP that would be lame, so it's not that way.

As far as I know, you can only stay cloaked while shooting when using a pistol with the silencer, but i havent tried it in the MP.

So what's the point of the silencer in MP? People are constantly and actively trying to kill each other, so wouldn't the silencer be useless if it can't keep you cloaked?

point is when u fire your wepon with a silencer you dont show up on the radar as a big red flashing dot.

doesnt take much to spot an enemy, come out of cloak, kill them and go back into cloak mode.

sure you can do the same with an unsilenced wepon but at least the enemies around you wont know your there.

its one of the reasons i use the scarab over the scar, stealth. Any idiot can rush in guns blazing and take out a few guys but it takes a bit of skill and tatics to get behind the enemy and take them all out :3

I will still break down the front door. Its so so much fun to see them all scramble after a flash bang.
