odd lag in SP

Post » Thu Nov 26, 2009 7:11 pm

hey i was playing crysis 2 sp cause i couldnt find a working mp server and half way in i started FPSING and going down to 15 frames from 40. i tried reducing the resolution and details to the lowest possible but with no effect. i then went to nvidea website and checked for any updates for my driver... i got the latest 1. my cpu can deff handle it cause i run MP and i ran crysis 1 and warhead fine which where a lot more expansive and in my opinion some graphical issues were incredibly better. anyways im getting off topic. my stats are 1 gig nvidea gforce 9800 i believe, 5 ram, 1 tb hard drive. can anybody help me its not fun when youre game freezes when ur playing the hardest difficulty and about to get into a firefight its quite messy

my card... not really... the bare min is 512 mb... never had a problem before with cryengine 2 which is better and a dual graphics card does nothing just so you know it just acts as more RENDERING speed and shares the stress on youre graphic card (less chance of overheating crashing ect...). and did you fail to read the fact that i tried it on 800x600 with the same fps and that it only happens at certain parts in the game. when i died the checkpoint was not laggy before, and it wasnt laggy after but as soon as i reach the point again it lags and so on.
