Fast Aiming/Navigation on Consoles is Possible: 180°-Turns

My support for you guys first:
Crytek, I am a passionate gamedeveloper but also in love playing products that meet certain standards. I am personally very supportive with your philosophy. I love to have a choice and to perfect its execution. It is also potentially a decent decision to choose max 6 vs 6 players. It is choosing quality over quantity, it allows to develop deeper gameplay by definition.

Now to the point:
Crysis2 is a fast paced game. Quick navigation and aiming should be possible. Now Pc players have an advantage in aiming but you can increase console-gamer's aiming/navigation-speed by simply implementing a button for fast 180° turn-arounds. Since this game is also going to PC you are supposed to be able to
aim/navigate quickly. So there is no drawback in implementing it.

I would be more than happy if you take it into consideration, or in the worst case tell me at least why you won't implement that.
I would also like to know what all you gamer think about that.

On a PC you can easily turn 180 degrees nearly instantly with a quick wrist action. For consoles I don't think it's as easy, granted.

I feel that it also wouldn't be really realistic if you coudl turn exactly 180 degrees, but that's just my opinion :)

Well maybe not an instant 0.001 second turn, but when you press a button your character would be turning fast to the other site in like a half second (like you would quickly move your mouse on the PC)

wouldnt this be fixed by higher sensitivity? granted a button would allow for more 'options' while not having EXTREME sensitivities lol

Feel free to move to general forum (this is a duplicated thread), this issue is explained there in some more depth.

@tronist: Higher sensitivity will rapidly reduce accuracy. You want to be accurate and quicker in navigation at the same time since aiming on consoles is already difficult enough.
