Generally the assist system is a bit iffy but I've been using this weapon for a few hours now and I never get any assists with it. I'm just wondering if this is supposed to happen?

this happens to me with other weapons, i empty a full clip into a guy and someone else steals my kill with one bullet, i never get the assist for it either

Same happens to me as well, but at least I do get assists occasionally with other guns but I have never got an assist with the L-Tag.
